Dull and uninviting Hotel in the middle of Thurles Town. The worst food ever presented. Bad tasting and cold. We had to hand back our dinners and get soup instead. The soup was from a packet and repeated to both of us all day. The service is poor and the whole place needs a good upgrading....... Tables were not cleaned... More

Hayes Hotel in Thurles may be historical but there should be no need to also preserve the dirt from times past. I was seriously unimpressed by the state of the bathroom, the disabled toilet facility and baby changing area.

One night was more than enough!!!! Stayed here on saturday night. Didnt have high hopes as i had read the past reviews & we got a really cheap price of 49euro Room Only rate. It's was an extra 31euro for the B&B rate, glad we didnt go with that, breakfast would not cost 15.50 each anywhere else!! The room itself... More

Pleasant staff,ok room but poor shower. Non smoking room near the front of house was a bit of a disaster. Woken at 5 am by passing traffic and no sleep after that. Poor breakfast in terms of variety and selection. Not a great experience but you get what you pay for.

It was absolutely terrible - no hot water for a shower or in the handbasin. This was reported and nothing done about it. Breakfast was ok. Very basic and not friendly staff. Would never stay there again and would not recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here 14th July, 2012 and we were very disappointed with it. We paid Euro 80 for Bed and Breakfast. Our room was very old fashioned and on our arrival there was barely a trickle of cold water from the shower. We mentioned this to the Receptionist who said she would have it taken care of.... More
