Pretty good selection of food from main courses to sandwiches, soups etc the service is pretty slow and it can be difficult to attract waitress attention. I had the open crap sandwich which was pretty good. Would choose this as stop off on main road to cork compared to other poor alternatives

We ate in the bar. Ordered 2 steaks. Steaks were cremated. Potatoes were obviously reheats from lunch. Veg poor. Chips were poor. Staff tried to defend the food when we complained. If a decent restuarnt opened up off the M8 this place would have to pull up their socks.

the hotel it self is lovely - a wonderful choice of where to eat - from the formal restaurant to the more casual bar food- either was great! we had a 2 night B&B plus dinner offer and the set menu available to us was the best ever package set menu- just as good as the a la carte! The... More

Was disappointed to be told we could not book into after 4.30pm as hotel had been at full capacity night before. We went to the bar for the drink to wait until the room was ready. Bar staff seemed scared to make eye contact incase we wanted served. Finally got served after having to call a member of staff over.... More

Reception and breakfast staff good. Very expensive food one course dinner 22 euro with a wait of 55 mins for it to be served!!!! Had to request room change as first allocation was unacceptable as it was dirty, dusty and with heavily stained carpet. Second room which appeared to be an upgrade also had stained carpet, dusty shelves, and shower did... More

My wife and I stopped for dinner at the Horse & Jockey Restaurant and Bar in the Enclosure Bar. The food was good but not exceptional (definitely not worthy of a Michelin recommendation). The manager was more concerned about watching sports than supervising wait staff. The waitress that served us had some form off attitude or air about her. Our... More

As a regular visitor to the Horse and Jockey I am a bit confused by the review Irelandbobo posted about the cappuccino at the Hotel. The coffee has always been of great quality. In fact Horse and Jockey is a favourite for business people hold meetings due to its location and fantastic range of homemade pastries/ cakes and great coffee.... More
