This hotel was probably very nice when it first opened, but now needs some TLC. My room was a good size and showed potential. The bathroom was particularly bad with the side panel of the bath hanging of and generally not very clean (it had been cleaned on the surface but not deeply cleaned). The restaurant menu was very old... More

We called In to the bar today to have just the main course. The bar looked dark and uninviting. The waiter had dirty shoes and was not dressed smartly. We both had the main course of roast beef. The beef was the best of the dish. The creamed potatoes were lumpy. The veg were big chunks of carrots and turnips... More

Excellent afternoon tea selection, very relaxing atmosphere, great and friendly service, staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. Extremely good value for money. Ideally located for a break from driving on the M8. Very comfortable seating.

Worst stay ever! Just back from a two night stay in this hotel.went specifically to this hotel for a relaxing break and mainly to use the pool and jacuzzi.on the first day we went to the pool and after ten minutes we got an awful smell and realised that someone had done a poo in the pool near us. There... More

I am sorry that you witnessed this incident of fecal matter in the water which unfortunately every swimming pool has to deal with at some stage. This incident is completely out of our control but I guarantee you that we have a protocol in place and this protocol was stringently followed in this case. The first step is to remove... More

Spent a few nights here. Very well appointed and comfortable bed room. It was warm, quiet and a very comfortable bed with really good bed linen. The shower / bath was really good. Breakfast was very good and ate dinner there which was very tasty and well presented . The service throughout was very good every morning and the service... More

Myself and my partner recently visited the Horse & Jockey on the dealrush voucher not expecting much to be honest in such a small town. I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised with our stay, first with the bad, the room wasn’t great just a standard hotel room (it could have done with a bit of TLC) after... More

My friends and I met here as its a half way point, and had a most relaxing time. The staff working in the spa, were top class. Between us we had tried massage, facial, hairdressers, and eyelash tint, and used the swimming pool., jacuzzi etc and found all the staff obliging friendly and made our stay a brilliant one. We stopped here on a trip returning from Clonakilty to Dublin. In the interests of full disclosure my travelling companion is also reviewing so you may see the same incident mentioned twice. We arrived very tired and hungry and from the outside and the shop just inside the door the place looked clean and inviting. However on entrance to the... More
