Flemingstown House is the perfect place to stay while visiting southwestern Ireland. All the sites of the area are an easy drive away. Imelda is a perfect host, and the old country farm house is charming and immaculate. The rooms are large and cozy, and the furnishings equisite. We were there for five days and enjoyed every minute. more

This was an incredible experience that words cannot describe. Wwe had a little trouble finding the place but it was well worth it. If you have a map or GPS you should have no problems. We arrived late but were warmly greeted by our host. She knew we had a long day (arriving after 22:00) and insisted upon tea and... more

++ Imelda is the perfect host, and made sure that we were warmly welcomed, shown the available facilities and our room. Afternoon tea was promptly offered, brought up to our room with biscuits. Imelda is the genuine perfect hostess, an ideal Irish ambassador ensuring that everything the guest requires is available and also well received. ++ The rooms are very... more

Spent the last 2 nights of our 2 week trip to Ireland here with Imelda, and wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted so warmly upon arrival, and as it was cocktail time, Imelda brought ice to our beautiful, antique filled room, on a silver tray, with Waterford Crystal glasses. Breakfast was delicious, everything home made. This is... more

We stayed here on our second day in Ireland. We had a little trouble finding the house, but were richly rewarded once we found it. As we arrived and began to bring in our bags the tea service was already arriving in our room. After we unpacked and spent a few minutes admiring the quality of the furnishing provided in... more

This was a great house, a perfect stay for our first night in Ireland. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated. View of the fields and hills were wonderful. The hostess/owner was extremely nice and made us feel we were staying in our loving grandmother's home. Kilamock is a very nice little village and the 12th century abbey is worth exploring...no... more

Recently stayed in Flemingstown House for the 3rd time. It is a 250 year old farmhouse, about 1.5 hours south of Shannon, outside a small medieval town called Kilmallock. Each of the 5 rooms are en suite, have comfortable beds, and are equipped with hairdryers and decorated with fresh flowers. The hostess, Imelda Sheedy-King, makes everyone feel warmly welcome. There... more
