We enjoyed our stay at Pension Marianna. The location is perfect against the fortified walls on the hill. Friendly service and good rooms. Breakfast is a bit diappointing for people who are not so fond of sweet tastes.

We have just finished 3 beautiful days in Nafplio. Our stay at Pension Marianna was a big part of our delight. The brothers who have run a pension here for 25 years, are warm & welcoming. Their sons are beginning to learn the business. Everyone was very helpful. The pension is high up against the wall of one of the... More

I found about Marianna via the lonely planet guide to Greece and booked it because it came highly recommended. We rang first from Australia one week prior to arriving to book the room (we left it until last minute) and the host could not have been more helpful in getting us a room in peak season with little notice. He... More

The rock walled rooms, the courtyard and the rooftop patio all speak to the care the Zolos family put into their property. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the welcoming and friendly enviornment. Highly recommend staying there.

They are as advertised in their email signature .... the most friendly and helpful of hosts. Nafplio was the last of our stops in Greece, and without knowing it we had saved the best hotel for the end. Marianna is at the top of the old town, just under the Akronafplia fortress (the middle one) and if you approach it... More

Zotos brothers are perfect hosts. We arrived by car from Kardamyli and promptly got lost. Stopped at a fish market where owner spoke almost no English but he called Marianna and within minutes one of the brothers appeared on a scooter and led us to the hotel. We never would have found it on our own. Hotel itself is wonderful,... More

It's a challenge to find superlatives that other reviewers have yet to describe our stay at the Marianna; needless to say it was delightful hotel and a wonder stay in Nafplio. While many other properties (rightfully) may earn their five stars from grand building, artful decor, and Michelin-chef, Marianna earns their stars from their passion commitment to their guests -... We loved Nafplio and the Pension Marianna! We stayed there for 4 nights and loved every second of it! As mentioned, the hotel is built on 3 levels and we were on the lowest level. You will need to walk up and down the stairs several times a day but the stairs were surprising easy compared to other places we... More

We stayed at Pension Marianna after seeing Rick Steves' travel video of Greece. My husband and college friend we were travelling with usually don't get swept up in travel hoopla, but this was just too good to avoid. It was by far, the best place we stayed in Greece, and we would go back in a heartbeat. The rooms were... More

We arrived at the Pension Marianna with high expectations after reading numerous positive reviews, and it still managed to exceed those expectations. The setting is stunning, with quite possibly one of the finest vistas we've witnessed from an accommodation - you get an almost panoramic view of the town of Nafplio, the sea and the distant mountain ranges. Just be... More
