I have seen several mitigated comments on Tripadvisor previously, esp about price and cleanliness/outfashioned rooms but we still decided to go. First of all, Nafplia Palace benefits from a unique position, within the walls of the historic fortress of Nafplia, with breathtaking views on the Bay and on the Bourtzi island fortress (Nafplia's symbol). But it is also 5mn walking... More

This is a great hotel. Room lived up to description, bathroom was brilliant, luxurious, and a real treat. Staff excellent, so helpful and professional. The decor of the hotel is really individual, with lots of space. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection, we breakfasted outside, and just relaxed. Easy to get to the main town, then escape back... More

I was highly disappointed by this hotel as Nafplio is such a special part of Greece, the port city has an amazing energy to it. Firstly the main hotel pool was closed (in July)?? guests had to use the small infinity pool which was so dirty you could not see the bottom. The rooms were spacious but bring your own... More

The hotel is on the best part of the town with an amazing view, staff was very kind and the hotel was generally very clean. These are the only good things i can share. We booked for a bangalow with private pool. Initial price at 815 euro per night which finally went down to 690 euro. With this price bungalow... More

We booked two nights for 150 Euro each, thinking that we would stay at the best hotel at Nafplio for a luxurious weekend...When I entered the lobby, I was transferred to the 60's, but was still calm, despite the smell. When I went to the room, I was angry! Not luxury, but not even the basic descent elements you ask from a hotel. There... More

Highly overpriced hotel that is simply not worth the money. Very few guests and poor breakfast, and the main swimming pool still not opened. Great outdoor terasse for drinks and neat elevator to take you down town, but not worth the money at all. Maybe it would attract more guests with more reasonable prices and thus be able to attract... The hotel with the amazing view, well worth the stay. We found it to be elegant 70s but clean and the staff very friendly. The property has so many areas, dinner in the big glass dining room was very nice. From the location it is easy to get to the center of town from the top of the hill. This... More

Poor facilities, terrible food quality from room service, run down reception, drinks terrace furniture falling apart, gardens in poor shape, wifi a nightmare, the tiny “horizon” swimming pool was filthy, main pool out of order. Staff did their best to put on a brave face. Top location for exploring ancient historic town, good views (when not obscured by dead or... More

I dont know where to start. The hotel is a joke. I dont know how the managed to call it a 5 star hotel but there are no word to describe what I saw there. The room that they gave me was in the old wing and so my opinion is only for these rooms. So the woods of the... More

We stayed overnight in May 2014 and was more than disappointed. It is not palatial by any means, our room was dark, little lighting, lots of dark wood on ceiling and a timber false wall which was not needed. Dingy, and dark. The bathroom needs maintenance badly and was a horrible green in colour. The mattress on the bed was... More
