The receptionists were very friendly. We got the suite on a very affordable price and had been rewarded with a high, spacy and comfy room with a good overview on the city and the harbour. You've got to get used to the red wall and some nude paintings. The bath included a jacuzzi ^_^. The breakfast was good and traditional... More

We stayed at the Ilion Hotel last August. The rooms were very unusual, almost like they belonged in a movie set. Although certain aspects of the hotel have not been updated, the charm of the entire experience makes up for it. The best thing about the hotel is the people who work there. They are informed, extremely capable and very... More

A boutique hotel with Art Deco rooms. In its heyday must have been impressive. Today in deperate need of TLC. Careful if sharing a room with a loved one. Flushing reflux after a nasty episode in the loo can be severely embarassing. This problem is prevalent also in downstairs communal loo. Really embarassing when staff have to rectify your nasty... I stayed one night in this hotel. The location is perfect, quiet street. the design and the structure are special and particular. Staff friendly, helpful and present. Breakfast is quite varied. The onli flew is the cleaniless of the bathroom.

The hotel is well located in the hearth of the old town. There is no parking place so good luck with your baggages! Clearly this does not depend on the Hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fine. Rooms are very small and our shower was not working. Unfortunately in the room was a unpleasant smell of humidity. Price... More

We arrived by bus from Athens after an overnight flight. The bus terminus is right at the entrance to the old town and we walked to the Ilion in less than 10 minutes. It was early but we called in to see if we could drop off our luggage and luckily our room was available and the owner let us... More

The hotel is central in the city but you smell in your room all the food cocking from the restaurants next to the hotel . You have to close the window all day .i we got a "suite" no wardrobe the shatters not working and the matres overdue. The receptionist was smoking . The jacuzzi was not working and the... More

This is a boutique hotel in a beautifully restored 1620 building run by a very friendly owner (Yiorgos) and with a wonderful collection of antiques and period furniture. Very good breakfast and excellent local tips by the owner. Unreservedly recommended for a romantic break in a truly beautiful city.

If you like sleek Euro-style, the Ilion's probably not the place for you, but if you like old buildings, funky decor, a great location, and a warm welcome you'll enjoy a stay there. The building dates to the 1600's, so expect some quirkiness--but enjoy the character that comes with age. The owner and employees were all extremely helpful. Our room... More

Centerly located in the old town. Many steps lead to the hotel. Rooms are furnished in an old days colorful style that might look weird to some people. It is a good value, but rooms require some maintainance. Not for the weak in hurt
