the hotel is indeed in a lovely village, one of the more picturesque villages in the area. the food was excellent though I (being a big eater) would have liked a little more on my plate! the wine list was very extensive reflecting the proprietor's former occupation. no problem with the room - very comfortable and clean. pleasant dining room... more

I have visited before, it has changed hands and it is now better than ever! Dominic and Diana try so hard to make you welcome. We recently stayed at the Lyon d'Or and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms and ambiance are beautiful, the food excellent, and above all the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. When you combine this with the beauty of the village itself, this is a real find for a tranquil rest. more

Friendly welcome. Great service. Beautiful courtyard and interior of the hotel. Some rooms newly refurbished. Food wine and service excellent. Would thoroughly recomend this for anyone looking for good accomodation and food in a very beautiful village. An excellent find. more
