The hotel is tucked away along the river Seine in very picturesque surroundings. The mill itself is a striking building sitting astride the mill race which is an arm of the rive Seine. The grounds are extensive, well kept and boast a swimming pool and boats for use by residents. We stayed one night en route to the south and... More

We chose to celebrate our 70th birthdays here with our children and granddaughter. It was perfect! The hotel is by the river which all our rooms/suites overlooked. We spent two nights there, with the celebration meal at lunchtime to accommodate the three year old. All of the hotel staff were extremely welcoming & attentive as well as being 100% efficient.... We had arrived in Paris, driven to Giverney, then wound our way through beautiful farms and forests to arrive for our first night in France at this lovely place. It was an absolutely magical introduction to our trip. The gorgeous setting, the charming old mill house, the picture book views were amazing. The rooms are historic but the baths are... More

Four of us stayed one night here in early June and found it to be everything the website seemed to promise. A totally unique building in an equally unique location make it somewhere very special to stay. The hospitality was excellent from the owner and the staff all worked hard to provide a marvelous welcome. Our one and only minor... More

We spent 3 nights at the Moulin and had an amazing stay! This is one of those places that is so special that it creates a memory that lasts forever. The reasons are many: Picturesque setting, with the river running right under the hotel Memorable rooms, ours had a jacuzzi and small sitting alcove with complimentary aperitifs as well as... More

Stayed one night on our way from Haute to Basse Normandy. Ideally located for Giverny as well. Fantastic site, idyllic in every sense. The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom immaculate and the dining was exceptional. And yet as good as all that was, the hospitality far exceeded it all. A warm and friendly welcome every time we interacted... More

We love this hotel! So friendly - and lovely, comfortable rooms with big beds. It is the perfect location to break our journey on the way to the Poitou Charentes. Plus it has a lovely garden for our little dog - who is also welcomed in the hotel. The food is excellent. My only suggestion would be that they also... More

We stayed here for Easter this year, I cannot praise this hotel enough, staff were lovely, room was lovely (bit of a climb to the top floor though), and the food was off the scale ! I can honestly say the food was so good it was like we had never tasted food before ! Overall a very relaxing break.... More

I visit Rouen frequently and normally stay in the centre, thankfully this time the Mercure was full. The Moulin de Connelles is a family run hotel on the banks of the river with amazing atmosphere, fabulous restaurant with a la carte and two menu du jour for dinner with a short but great value wine list of local and traditional wines.... A genuine French country experience a bit over an hour from Paris and only minutes from Giverny, this family-owned and run inn and restaurant is the real thing. The "two Karens" will take superb care of you. On a branch of the Seine near Chateau Gaillard and Giverny, the grounds are simply spectacular. Do not fail to dine in their... More
