If Trip Advisor enabled me to give a rating of points out of 100. I would give 100 . We stayed at this beautiful renovated old farm and chose the Medieval room , it was more exquisite than we imagined from the photographs. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated in Medieval style the en suite again stunning. The... More

Cute place, rooms quite big, with en suite toilet and shower. It was clean, bedding changed every three days. Proprietor very helpful in giving advice for château visiting, told us about how he started this place. Typical French breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, cereal, coffee/tea/cocoa. It was very pleasant to stay there and we would certainly recommend this place. He... More

We stayed with Laurent in October 2013 a family of 5 with 2 teens and a 10 year old. Laurent is a wonderful host, I wished I could have stayed longer as he would have had me speaking much better french. We staying in the Soleil room, which was bright and cheery with a great bedroom area for the children... More

We stayed again at La Milaudiere this year. Last year we stayed for 2 nights, and this year for 3 - in the Exotique and Tourangelle Rooms. Love it here in the countryside - and Laurent is so helpful. There is so much to see and do in the area and we easily filled our time. Would have been 5... More

My family of 4 recently stayed in the Soleil room for 3 nights and were incredibly pleased with the accommodations. The room is huge with plenty of space for everyone, breakfast was great every morning, and Laurent was very helpful with his advice and tips for getting around and providing advice on where to go. We were also able to... More

What can I add to the praise already written in other reviews? There's a reason nobody has rated La Milaudiere lower than "very good". This beautiful, lovingly restored and furnished centuries-old farm is located deep in gorgeous Loire countryside, just 15 minutes or so from the amazing old town of Chinon. Three of us stayed two nights in the huge... More

The area surrounding La Milaudiere is very quiet; so was the Medieval room we had for four nights. The premises are well kept; the room was very clean, spacious with a large, comfortable bed and modern bathroom with good water pressure. While there is Wi Fi on the premises, our room required a CAT5 connection because of its location; a long... More

We stayed for 3 nights in September. Campagne was our room and we found it very comfortable for two. We especially liked that there were small chests topped with lamps on both sides of the bed. There was also a convenient outlet to plug in my cpap machine (used for sleep apnea). The maid left an extension cord on the... More

We stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights in August on the way back from 2 weeks in the Lot et Garonne and were delighted with the rooms and our host. Laurent was so helpful – very patient and helpful with our French. The rooms were just as they look on the photographs. We had the Exotique and the Medieval,... More

We booked two nights in May with the intention of seeing more of France on a slow journey back to England. Instead we immediately booked a further 3 nights. Surely only Laurent would buy baggettes from one shop and croisants from another? Anyway, with the home made jam as well, it pays off. Definitely the best breakfasts we have had... More
