We have stayed at this hotel seven times. This time we had a newly renovated room with a large terrace. It was great. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They really go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The facilities are great, and everything is always clean and well maintained. The scenery is... More

When you pay a premium for staying in a supposed five star hotel you expect the experience to match the price. Sadly this was not the case. On the positive side, the breakfast and evening meal selection and quality was good and the senior staff were both attentive and courteous. The indoor/outdoor pool and sauna area facility was also of... More

We travelled to this hotel to meet with friends and celebrate a birthday. A friendly hotel shuttle picked us up at the railway station. Already at breakfast our waitress brought a lit candle, a little gift from the hotel and a glass of sparkling wine. In the afternoon we had ordered a very fresh and tasty home made fruit tart... I have been at this hotel a few times now and always had a great experience. I especially like the nice and warm cosy bar with the fire where I read my books daily enjoying a drink in the afternoon. Also tha spa is very good! Will come back again soon.

We stayed at the Astoria for four nights this August and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the spa and wellness area as well as the delicious gourmet food. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel complex itself is a bit fragmented, as they added more and more parts to the original building. While we were there they were just... More

We stayed here with a group of very demanding swiss vintage car owners during a 3 day driving tour of the area during early September. I cannot praise the helpfulness and attitude of the staff highly enough as, from the moment we checked in and throughout our stay, we were all looked after impeccably and made to feel completely relaxed... The hotel is very clean and presented nicely enough. In comparison to other ski resort hotels it is quite luxurious!! The food every evening was excellent as was the service. Hotel location is great if you're a non skier but not ideal otherwise as pistes are about a 10-15minute bus drive away. Would recommend for beginners to intermediate only as... More

We have booked into this hotel due to its allegedly five star rating and copious wellness offers. However, nothing in the hotel, except perhaps the size of the room we had justifies the rating. The hotel is awkwardly built, long, narrow hallways, furnished in a faux Tyrolean style...not new but kept tidy and clean. The wellness facilities stem probably from... More
