The photos paint a completely opposite picture of the hotel. We stayed there one night and given the tariff that we paid the place did not even have a generator and when the electricity went the whole night we froze and had to take a bath with chilling water. The staff as not also apologetic about it. Food was excellent... More

This "hotel" is nothing like a similarly priced Hilton in Gurgaon. The staff (probably, you can't tell because they wore casual) led us (there was no elevator) to our room locked with a padlock. On the way we passed a huge dog which pattering kept us awake for a whole night (together with squeaking doors somewhere on a corridor). The... More

Gulaab Niwaas was a bit of paradise after a few difficult days in Delhi. Seeing the hotel from the bottom, and then getting to it itself already made us happy and that impression stayed until the end! The hotel property is wonderful. It’s in a hill and there’s an amazing view of the city and the ghat. The hotel is... More

You need a good sense of humour or to have lived in the 3rd World to appreciate this place. In the photos it looks amazing but in reality, it is pretty basic. It seemed as if it was being renovated and maybe in time it will be better. The pool, which looked so inviting in the photos, was home to... More

I have come to realize that paying more does not always equal better service. For an establishment to claim themselves to be 4 star quality, Gulaab Niwas falls quite short. Pushkar offers a host of hotels and small inns, we decided to pay almost 8 times as much to ensure basic comforts like hot water (and this is in the... More

We were booked in for three nights but when we turned up there was only a booking for one night...what a relief though! The hotel was cold and depressing and the staff wore a military style uniform. Breakfast was included however it would have been much more enjoyable to pay for it somewhere else. For the same amount of money... More

Based on the price I thought it was good value for money. The staff a welcoming, friendly and a good source of information. The hotel itself is spotless, the rooms are large and the views of Pushkar are awesome. With it being a 10 minute walk from the town it is away from the noise at night. There was a... More

The hotel has a beautiful terasse with swimming pool from witch you have a beautyful view over the valley and the lake. The hotel is a little bit outside of the main town with the shops but in walkable distance, maybe 10 min. We had a very nice room with balcony. Pushkar itself is very beautiful as well. There are... This hotel is difficult to define. I have rated it based on what they delivered for what we paid, not as a world class hotel. It was obviously constructed with the idea of becoming a magnificent 5 star luxury hotel. It has a commanding view over Pushkar, and a lovely pool .The reception area is massive, with a high domed ceiling and imposing... We stayed at the Gulaab Niwas for 3 nights in October. Check in was swift and the receptionist completed the forms, I only had to sign. We had an upgrade to a suite, very nice on the end of the hotel with 2 balconies and windows. The spectacular view overlooked Pushkar town and the mountains beyond. The room was clean... More
