No, you're not likely to get the kind of obsequious service you'd get in a five-star hotel in India and reception certainly serves up a somewhat perfunctory and gruff welcome, but the hotel really is quite charming. Rooms come off a long colonnaded veranda which provides a cool and beautiful setting to admire the view of the holy lake and... More

Stunning long colonial terraces with seating and a table outside your room overlooking the lake. Rate includes buffet breakfast. Can have food brought to your room or eat on your terrace overlooking the shimmering lake. Lift. Glorious refined colonial decor. Breakfast rooms on the ground floor. Garden with banana trees. Can have tea on the lawn. Wifi works! Loads of... More

Although the Pushkar Palace has the best lakeside setting, this is really about the only thing it has going for it. If you arrive by any type of bus, you start by having to walk the last 1/2 km. to the hotel. When you arrive you are amazed at how unpleasant the management is and how nervous the staff seems... A little gem overlooking the Holy lake. Very nice decorated with lots of authentic details. Good beds, bathroom with bath. Clean. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place any time. Market street with all the shops and hassle within walking distance. We did not use the on site restaurant but the restaurant next door "sunset restaurant" which also... More

After our horrendous experience at Jaipur, we had a pretty good stay at Pushkar. Pushkar palace is located in one of the narrow by lanes of the never ending Pushkar markets. The Hotel is close to the lake and is a decent walking distance from the Brahma temple. It is closer to the Vishnu temple though. The rooms were neat... More

Ever dreamed of living in the early part of the 20th century, among beautiful antique furniture or sleeping in a canopied bed? This hotel is a gem! We love its charm as well as its convenient location and the amazing view of the lake.

A beautifully located hotel right on the lake that really captures the atmosphere of this Holy city. the rooms are furnished in the traditional style and there are many interesting sepia photographs reminiscing on the past throughout the property. The main restaurant on the roof appears to be closed during the winter. We chose to dine outside the hotel and... More

The reception flat out declined our booking and had to fight with the owner to get a room, they even asked to pay more money for the room. Also they asked 700 rupees for the driver accommodation. But after talking to the owner for a long time and also talking to the makemytrip people, he finally gave us a room.... More

Fantastic central location over looking the lake. Absolutely fantastic place to be for the camel fair. Staff very helpful. The food seemed quite expensive, but there are many restaurants nearby. Would certainly stay again

This heritage hotel has the prime position to look out across the bathing lake and ghats to the town, and the room we had certainly had some old style charm and opulence. The restaurant staff however had an air of stuffiness and indifference to match the surroundings, and the dining rooms on the lakeside were dark and a bit oppressive.... More
