I can't compliment Milkman enough for the accommodation they have provided. First off, the place is so artfully decorated, oozing a hippie vibe that is sure to appeal to any traveller adventurous enough to come to India, and indie enough to come to Pushkar. Secondly, for the prices, the rooms are immaculate. Well furnished and well equipped, with comfortable beds,... More

A lovely, refreshing change from westernised hostels. The milkman has a real local feel and is a so bright and colourful with a garden with tortoises on the top floor. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel at home, and the restaurant is a lovely place to relax with great food. We stayed in a double room but... More

Whilst i don't always share my husband's love for backpacker (read cheap) dens, sometimes we do hit gold. In my case, this means a clean bathroom with running water, clean sheets and good food. And a bargain of course. The Milkman cafe ticks all the boxes. Family owned and run, the guesthouse has rooms on 5 levels..all brightly painted and furnished... More

Had an awesome stay here. The family were super friendly and helpful and the place itself was beautiful, as well as the food being delicious. It is in a good location too, easy walking distance to the lake and nearby restaurants. Would absolutely recommend.

Staff are very friendly. Restaurant is great. Lots of Nutella based dishes are available if you're into that stuff. Good hot shower facilities. I strongly recommend. Best place is stayed at in my entire 2 month trip in India. I didn't want to leave!!!

This is one of my favourite guesthouses in India! The location is of the main street (although there are plenty of signs to direct you...) so it's quiet and the rooms are super cosy and clean. I loved all the plants and general vibe of the place. Close to all the shops and restaurants and most importantly affordable!

Let me start by saying: breakfast is amazing!! The complete muesli is so so good. The cookers were on vacations when we stayed there so we didn't try lunch or dinner but everything on the menu is cheap. We paid 750 roupies for the room with 4 beds, very cute and colorful, the rooftop was a little bit disappointing but... More

The "dorm room" was a clutter of beds piled on top of one and other. Each persons head was touching another's toes. It was incredibly cramped with no room to move. There was no where to keep valuables. Although we had booked and had three dorm beds confirmed, there was only two beds available. We were offered a third bed... More

Before reading, please bear in mind that I've never left a negative review for accommodation before until now, so this isn't normal for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the price of this guest house; at 110Rs a night for a dorm bed, I wasn't going to complain. Or so I thought. The staff were extremely rude here, making it... More

We stayed at the Milkman guesthouse for 3 nights, as recommended by the lonely planet. We opted for a double room without A/C for Rs600 - but were upgraded to a Rs700 room (Room 111) as the prior had been double-booked. The room had a double bunk bed (i.e. one double bed on top of another) with a small wet... More
