Mandu is bestowed with history, there is so much to see that even an ardent traveller would find it difficult to complete mandu sightseeing in a day. At the end, justice is not delivered if mandu do not get two day from any Central India itinerary. It was day 3 of the journey with Times of India, exploring the cuisines... More

Best location, beautiful velly view, excellent tent experience ,but the only disturbing thing was bad odour due to water seapage in the tent and inexperienced house keeping staff.Breakfast was good with cooperative staff.

We stayed at Malwa Retreat for 2 nights. It is one of the two options to stay at in Mandu, the other being Malwa Resort. We did not get a place at the Resort, so took this up. The room definitely exceeded expectations. It was clean, the bathroom was clean too, and overall I think that if one needs to... More

It was our 5 th visit to the place and we have always stayed here . The place is at a hillside and its one side overlooks the valley below . The place has a total of approximately 10 rooms - few are non AC , some AC and 4 air conditioned tents . All rooms are simply designed and... More

Mandu is a very remote village. Compared to other very few hotels there, Malwa Retreat is a better option in terms of price, location and safety. The hotel has an in-house restaurant and serves decent food in a clean environment. It is within walking distance to the Village group of monuments. The hotel is surrounded by garden and mountains and... More

Malwa retreat has all kind of accommodation available from plush rooms for family to dormitory beds for solo budget travellers. They have cottages as well overlooking a valley. They have got a decent restaurant and good food. The royal enclave complex is walkable from there and so is city centre. Buses which go in to Mandu passes from its gate... More

This is the budget version of the MP tourism development corporations accommodation. It is right at the entrance of Mandu and so a 15 min walk away from the main market. The place is good for a relaxing stay and the staff is good too. The manager there can help you with local transportation etc

This is the older of the MPTDC properties in Mandu. There are rooms and tents. We stayed in a tent. All the three tents have a magnificent valley view and you can see the early sunrise which is a spectacle to behold. It has a limite item choice restaurant on the roadside, but the food, particularly aloo parathas were mouth... More

On an impromptu trip to the heart of India, catalyzed by Air India’s flash sale of discounted tickets, our next destination after Indore happened to be Mandu. We planned to spend two nights at Mandu and booked one double AC room (tariff : Rs.2290/- + taxes including breakfast for two) at Malwa Retreat on MP Tourism’s website. We had reached... More

Hotel booking was easy through MP tourism website though they charged entire 'base rate' (without tax) online in advance. Location is on the main road of Mandu and is well known to locals...can't miss it. Hotel offers free car parking and has ample place. They also offer bicycle on rent to roam around Mandu. Well, being January 2015, we stayed... More
