It is hard to imagine any place as special as the Boulders. The combination of modern convenience and 1000 year old culture, with the most amazing scenery and geology is indescribable. I've been going to this area since 1966', but the Boulders is exceptional. Bucket list first class. Hard to get here, but the trip is part of the fun.... More

We loved our stay at Boulders and cannot praise this beautiful resort highly enough. We were treated like royalty and provided with excellent service. As it was low season, we got extra special service and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this little gem. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The daily food selections were fresh and delicious. And the staff-top... More

We enjoyed our two night stay here. After a very long drive to reach it, we looked forward to unwinding - sitting on the roof of our bungalow enjoying the scenery, over a cold king fisher beer! The rooms were fine - nothing special but clean and quiet. Being there in November, it was not too hot nor very busy.... More

It is customary in India to prepay for rooms. My $75 a night bungalow did not have A/C which is just impossible in scorching Hampi. I was offered to upgrade to the "only remaining" A/C hut on the compound at an extra $150 a night (making the room $225 a night). I was staying for 2 nights and I declined... More

My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful resort amidst the famous boulders of Hampi on the banks of the Tungabhadra. It was a great experience waking up with the chirping of birds all around and going to sleep covered by the total silence and darkness of the star studded nights! We were indeed touched by the hospitality and... More

Getting to Hampi is not yet easy ( which makes this world heritage site even more special to visit), arriving at Hampi Boulders after a long, hot drive is wonderful. While the rooms may be relatively simple for the price, just being able to sit on a balcony looking at the boulders and Tungabhadra river, made it seem worthwhile. Like... More

Accommodation and its cleanliness are of an adequate quality but extremely overpriced by any standard let alone Indian. The food is uninspiring and very bland ( eg banana in custard as pudding for two out of three evenings); there is no alternative. The management is friendly but generally very inefficient. The hotel survives on lack of competition. With hindsight, our... More

Ridiculous Pricepolicy. Some efforts are there but not worth rs 20.000.- = euro 235.- in some remote area of India. Water was neither hot nor sufficent, A/C not switchable, cleaniless was some indian standard. Everything was bearable, but not for this price.

Not an easy place to find - no signage and even the locals didn't seem to know it existed! But once there the quiet - India with no horns or yapping dogs - and the dramatic scenery made the journey well worthwhile with the bonus of spotting a crocodile basking on the rocks. Lovely food and a barbecue as well.... More

We went on a month self-planned tour of India and hotels that were recommended on Trip Advisor that included Hampi's Boulders. It was slightly remote (across the river from Hampi, but they provided transportation to the river) but the setting amidst the boulders was lovely. The food was exceptional and the service wonderful. We highly recommend.
