Beautiful Cottages (Uramma cottages) in a quaint village Anegundi in Hampi. To reach the ruins of Hampi, one has to go across the river in a ferry boat. The village itself has some architectural ruins to observe. There is a banana fibre production place to check out and buy some amazing products from, also owned by the owner of Uramma... More

I liked the cottages and the gardens around, also the little village Anegundi. This property might be a good place to stay for its sort of quite silent atmosphere. But the hyperactive "manager" Shiraje was not a support. Sort of faked friendlyness, He doesn`t really listen to the the guests. In my case with awful consequences: he booked the wrong bus... More

I have been coming for the third time to Anegundi and stayed twice at the Uramma cottages. It is always a beautiful experience ! Away from everything but worth the extra miles in this quaint village. Beautiful garden, comfortable rooms, good food, friendly staff, easy access to internet in the office. Well situated perfect to visit the amazing Kishkinda Valley... More

Shama (and her staff) have made a lovely and comfortable place to just hang out, or venture off to discover the wonderful ruins of Hampi and Anegundi. Good food, good atmosphere, and a level of sanity not often found in India. ENJOY!

Uramma homes have four properties in Anegundi, a village located across Hampi, on the opposite banks of the Tungabhadra river. We stayed in their budget property, the Peshegaar House, a guest house with five rooms. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms are shared, located outside in the courtyard. However, the rooms AND bathrooms are very, very clean and well... More

Suggested to us by friends in Goa and so glad we managed to get a cottage here. Definitely a well kept secret and so much nicer than all the guest houses on the ' island'. Food was home cooked, simple and delicious. Staff were extremely helpful and were happy to sort out anything you needed. The monkeys on our roof... More

This place is actually in Anegundi which is across the river from Vitalla Temple in Hampi. The place is really nice with great service and food which is very much like home cooked food. It is a little pricy for Hampi but frankly there are not too many other options other that the guest houses in Hampi or the back... More

This is indeed a well kept secret spot across the river from Hampi in a tiny village of 400 families called Anegundi. The promoters of the cottages have different accommodation in the village which one can check out in http://www.urammaheritagehomes.com/. Although guests stay in different guest houses and cottages, they all need to converge at their main property for food.... More

stayed here for three days with family. real glad we decided to camp out in anegundi and in shama's cottage rather than in hampi. quaint and rural cottages set in a huge, green compound/garden. the place included an outdoor and open dining area, and an open air theatre. the room was decorated sparsely but with style. i liked sitting area... Definitely a good place for base camp at Hampi, even though this is in Anegundi, a short boat ride from Hampi. Anegundi is also worth exploring however. The cottages are clean, spacious, and well laid out. There's almost no cellular network coverage, and definitely a lot of insects, but this is rural India, no surprises there. The meals are cooked...
