Stayed here for six days. Very good price for a double room, was 400 rupees at the time, cheaper and nicer than some of the others. Its family run, and the owners are lovely people. If you like bouldering you cant get closer with the location. The WiFi is limited here, but I think its kind of a good thing,... More

I miss you Sharmala! Greatest place to stay in Hampi. Even after I left for a week to Goa, when I returned every staff member remembered my name, and probably 200 guests cycle in and out of there every week. Its incredible. Nicest people ever. Even when they didn't have room for us, they found a place for everyone to... More

Shamilla (spelling?) was super friendly and accomodating from the moment we arrived. We never had a booking and all the rooms were full but she made a plan for us and placed us on mattresses under mosquito nets on a semi outdoor veranda. We paid around 150 rupees a night and our valuables were kept in lockers nearby. We got... More

Goan Corner is aimed squarely at the backpacker market, those on a budget can get rooms as cheaply as 125 rupees per night if they're happy to sleep in a hammock or tented mosquito net. I phoned and booked ahead as I heard how popular this place is. When I arrived, they were giving my room to someone else, I... More

Goans headed to goan corner. We had never seen pictures of GC so were not expecting anything less or more. Only thing we knew was we needed place to crash that night and the ladyowner/aunty at the hotel was fellow goan/goenkar. Apart from the horrors of reaching this place with a MUV at 12 at night, I think the experience... More

Very much loved this little piece of heaven. Tucked away in the corner it's peaceful and beautiful. Could easily waste away my days sitting in the outside restaurant reading, enjoying the surroundings, enjoying the food.. Israel is lovely! The huts are basic but decent, although ours did have a resident rat who ate my headphones.. So keep your electrical's safely... More

We stayed in a hut with external shower/toilet for 375 rupees. The rooms are nice and clean. There is only cold water for showering and the electricity goes out for hours at a time but the atmosphere is really nice. Most people who stay here are climbers and head out every day to conquer a new rock and come back... More

Wow, this place is awesome!!! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up. It is across the river from the bus station and most of the temples, but it is definitely worth staying at. So many cool travelers and a lot of rooms/rooftop/tent space available. The restaurant is always busy with people, but everyone is super friendly. The restaurant food is really tasty.... More

If you are in a mood to be away from all the busy and rush locations, this is the best place for solitude. Its quite cheap and the continental food is quite reasonable to stay there for few days. Be sure of the days when the dam is opened, so that u will not be stranded in this island. We... More
