Hotel is situated near the market place still won’t be disturbed by the noisy market. Market is at a walk-able distance with all kinds of shops. Hotel is situated at the foothill of Meclondgung at a travel distance of half an hour. This being a weekend destination to most of these valley local travellers who often go up for both... More

Its a very good place especially for visitors who prefer to stay in Himachal Tourism hotels. This hotel is bit isolated but if you go by your own car or taxi then its perfect. You can get access to the main market only by car else you will be stuck in this isolated place because the drive is only 5... More

WE did not book in advance any accommodation. Therefore when we arrived into Dharamsala we found another government hotel first, which was booked out. They recommended to try the Kashmir House. It's a bit difficult to find and the road to the hotel is very steep, but we loved the place. The room (No.102) was huge, with lots of windows... More

My family was with me when I reached Dharamsala late one summer evening. All rooms in the town seemed to be booked and we were in a quandary when the person at the front office of Hotel Dhauladhar (also run by HPTDC) helped out with a phone call to this hotel. They had one room vacant. We did not have... More

It's a heritage property converted into hotel and run by HPTDC. We spent Ine night here. The rooms are neat clean. The food served us also good. The hotel has a nice lawn at the front. A quality time can be spend in the lawn. Overall a good budget accomodation.

During my visit in HP. Dharamsala is less crowded and clean place Comparing to shimla and manali . hotel is very near to main street and very easy accessible. Old building, hotel it self called heritage hotel, but very clean and well maintained. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative.

This hotel is in dharamsala. Always stay in Mcleodganj. Nothing great about this hotel. Food is average. only it is on main road and parking facility is there. Mcleodganj will be your choice to stay not dharamsala.

Dharamsala and Mcleodganj - No clue why have people kept this place of interest. Dry, boring, bad and pathetic roads, confusing signs at every important junction. Average place to stay. Rooms are very ill maintained. Fortunately every single staff are very helpful, kind & cooperative. We had taken both the tower rooms #210 and #211. So we had a private... More

The irony with all government run hotels is that although they have the best location, rooms etc they are not run professionally and hence end up been at best mediocre. Imagine travelling all the way to Dharamsala for peace just to find to your shock that the hotel has a wedding in its lawn with the dj blaring music at... More

Overall experience of staying in this hotel during our trip to Dharamshala during 2nd-6th June'2012 was good. The staff were particularly very helpful & cooperative. The location of this hotel makes it a pleasant place to stay. Though during check out faced a problem as the Manager declined to accept credit card and we were told that the card swipe... More
