We took 2 basic rooms and they were quite clean. Bathroom was shared but was clean aswell. If you looking for a a no frill nice and clean place.. This is it. The owner is quite cool and doesn't intervene unless asked.

We arrived to Jagatram a couple of days upon our arrival to India, craving for some serenity and we got just that at Jagatram. Somewhat remote from the hustle and the bustle of Bhagsu and Dharmakot and probably more suited to the younger and adventurous types which was just fine for us, personally. Great stay, very recommended. Pavel

Stayed there during my recently concluded trip to Dharamot and absolutely loved the stylishly done rooms with breathtaking views of the valley and the mountains. The calm and quietness is worth the extra climb and it also serves as a great base to explore triund and the gallu waterfall or attending classes at Tushita. Hats off to the charming owner... More

I stayed for 18 delightful days. Family homestay. Bavinder, the owner, is very helpful and speaks good English. Matthew (who is English) deals with email bookings and responds very quickly. Everything spotlessly clean. Free filtered water, kitchen and tea bags/milk. Rooms of a good size and well-appointed. Spacious terrace with fabulous views over Bhagsu, Dharamkot and beyond. Awaken to birdsong.... More

The highlight of staying in Jagatram Niwas Homestay - the family! Bavinder is super helpful and knowledgeable - born and bred within the vicinity of the guesthouse, he knows all the ins and outs of the region and has great recommendations for daytrips and restaurants all around. Thanks to him we ate at Lung Ta in Mcleod Ganj which has... More

My parents and me had an incredible time staying with Bavinda and his family on their beautiful property in the hills overlooking both Baghsu and Dharamkot. Bavinda and his family are incredibly kind people and were so helpful and kind with whatever questions we had. You will wake up to an incredible view and are close to a lot of... More

I stayed for 10 days. Every morning I woke up with birds singing, every evening I spent time at terrace with watching landscape or reading books. If you want calm and peaceful holiday, here is the best place. And, I ate thali first time here. It was so tasty! I ate thali at other restaurant, guesthouse, but Jagatram Niwas is... More

We stayed for 5+ weeks at Jagatram Niwas Homestay, and it was an amazing stay! We initially booked for one month to stay during our yoga teacher training course which took place on the other side of the village, and extended for an extra week because of the amazing views, quietude, and hospitality of the family who owns the guest... A perfect place to spend a lazy weekend, this homestay is situated In Heini village, just above Mcleodganj. A five minutes walk will take you to the town square via Bhagsu. Rooms are neat & with a terrace facing the valley.. There is a common kitchenette below for use.. All you need for a perfect village retreat..

Thanks so much for such a positive review. We're really glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that we can welcome you back in the future. I should point out that your review indicated that McLeodganj main square is five minutes' walk from Jagatram Niwas. If you walk to the main square via Bhagsu, it's actually more like 35... More
