Set at the foot of the Himalayas this hotel is amazing. The hosts Bavinder, Rekha and Matthew are the kindest people around. Honest and helpful. The hotel is set on the side of a mountain overlooking an incredible view. It's like living in a National Geographic magazine. Don't miss this experience. This is our second trip there.

We were on the first leg of our father daughter trip around Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, and this was the perfect way to settle into our time in India. Our rooms on the top floor overlooked the valley below, beautiful sunsets to see! Our rooms were ideal - spotless, spacious, with heaters ( even when we arrived early Dec, it... More

I’ve been a guest at Jagatram Niwas for the past eight months (since March 2013). I could stay in this mountain retreat in Upper Bhagsu forever! The hosts, Bavinder and Rekha, are warm and gracious and never intrusive. The rooms (most with attached bathrooms) are attractively furnished, spacious and comfortable and open onto a terrace where you can sit at... More

I had a wonderful ten day holiday in Dharamsalla staying at Jagatram Nawas. The Jagatram family were incredibly hospitable and generous and seemed to really enjoy sharing their knowledge of the region. The guest house is located in a beautiful scenic area and I really loved the walks into McLeodganj, taking in the village atmosphere, but was always glad to... More

Our first visit to India began with a stay at the guest house. Set in beautiful hill country above McCloud Ganj. Comfortable rooms, hot water showers, and great views across the valley from our balcony. Lots of walks to do and easy access to town and the village below. Cooler climate in the hills a real bonus at this time... More

Jagatram is probably the best place to stay around the Bhagsu-Dharamcot-McloadGanj Area if you are looking for a nice warm and quiet place, E-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g here is good. The family is so welcoming, The place is clean and the price VERY reasonable.

While visiting the fascinating Dharamshala I was lucky enough to stay at Jagatram Niwas, located just above the town of Mcleod Ganj. My clean and homely room had a balcony with a stunning view of the town below, the bed was very comfy and there was plenty of hot water (Anyone who has travelled in India knows that this can... More

A Peaceful stay away from the crowds below and a beautiful walk down if we felt like joining them, and a Perfect base for day treks around the area. Lovely helpful family and delicious home cooked food..... Amazing views from the room and from the private terrace.. A little more expensive than the rest, and we can see why.... Very... More

Perched high up on the mountain looking down over the valley and villages bellow the view is truly breathtaking! If you really want to experience nature and the local village life this is the place to stay. It is a bit of a hike up the hill but well worth it. On occasions when I wasn’t feeling so energetic I...
