Upon arriving at Gorilla Forest Camp we were served drinks and given a refreshing towel as the lodge facilities were explained to us. GFC’s main lodge has a large bar area and dining room that looks out over a large green lawn. You can’t see too much from the main lodge as there is large tree line blocking the view... more

It's been one of the best to my knowledge in terms of accommodation no matter the road because once you love adventure, while in Parks i think what matters is accommodation, meals and safety in the area to reside while there! and more so with adventure especially in parks, you should never expect tarmac roads but rather feeder roads. Am one... more

Loved this little lodge! Not for the food (although good) or drinks (house wines included) or the older man playing music in the evenings. But sometimes, this place has an even better attraction - one of the gorilla troops sometimes passes very close by... more

Reaching Gorilla Forest Camp is like Dorothy reaching Emerald City after a long trip. The road into Bwindi is terribly bumpy, dusty, and downright uncomfortable but once you get to Gorilla Forest Camp all is forgotten. Although it is a hike up to your tent, the accomodations are wonderful and spacious. The footed bathtub surrounded by candles is especially nice.... more

Camp is set in the Bwindi Forest. It is a long drive on a dirt road into the reserve, and when you arrive you need to hike up a quite a few steps to get to the camp. Comical signs along the way " nearly there" and " you made it" make you doubt whether you will actually have enough... more

This is a wonderful place to stay when trekking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The tents have lovely real bathtubs, which is a true joy after a hard day of gorilla trekking. The food is very good, including nice box lunches for treks. They have an amazing show cleaning service, so when you return covered in mud, they will do... more

The Gorilla Forest Camp is a fantastic place to stay when trekking gorillas in the Impenetrable Forest. The permanent tents are huge, with two double beds, each with beautiful wood carved headboards. Besides a large shower, there is a full size bathtub surrounded by candles. The service and food were outstanding, and the setting was perfect. You'll see monkeys from... more

Gorilla Forest Camp's tents are large and comfortable. Each tent is very private, with an outside deck. Inside there are hardwood floors, lots of room, 2 double beds (and the hot water bottle placed in bed each night is a real treat). Back half of tent opens to full bathroom and a separate room with your tub with a view.... more

If you can afford the price, this is the only place to stay in Bwindi. The service is impecable and the permanent tents are comfortably appointed. more

To trek through mountain rainforest to see one of the most remarkable creatures on the planet is more than just a holiday - its a marvel in a world where there sometimes seems less and less to marvel at. Fancy sentiments, I know, but I defy anyone to go to Uganda's reamining forest wilderness, watch these gentle, intelligent creatures in... more
