Stayed here two nights in October 2014 with my two grandparents. We all went gorilla trekking together. Mahogany Springs provided a good packed lunch. Anytime we asked for something (tea/coffee, even at off hours) they would bring it and bring it on time (lots of places in Africa bring things when they feel like it not when you have arranged... This lodge is amazing, the rooms are full of character and fit perfectly in the hillside, offering amazing views from the moment you get up until the moment you go to bed. It has a great location and only a short walk to the local village. But the best part of Mahogany Springs is its staff. From the moment you... More

Being a seasoned traveler to East Africa, I'm probably not as easy to impress as first-time visitors. I'm usually traveling to a particular lodge or camp in order to experience the 'adventure' offered in the area and not too much concerned about the provided services. However, with the intention of possibly bringing groups to Uganda, this trip was a combination... More

Spent 3 nights here in order to go gorilla trekking and was sorry to leave. The grounds are great with a river at the bottom and you can see the forest which the gorillas leave on occasion to visit the garden. The cottages were huge and the food was great but it was the staff that really make it a... More

As well as the great location this lodge offers excellent service and comfortable, clean accommodation. Welcoming, friendly staff were very attentive. After returning from our gorilla trek they immediately offered to clean our boots.

We stayed 2 nights at the Mahogany Springs Lodge recently when we were gorilla trekking in the Bwindi National Park. We were so impressed with the warm welcome from all staff and their attention to detail - knowing us by name and their interest in what we were doing each day made us feel very at home. The chalets are... More

I spent a week in January 2014 traveling around Uganda to see wildlife. On a comparative basis, this lodge was the nicest I was at. The food was excellent and the wifi even worked in the common area. (My experience is that wifi is often advertised, but it either doesn't work or is so slow that effectively it is unusable.)... More

When travelling through Uganda the first two weeks of Sept 2014 I was booked into the MAHOGANY SPRINGS for three nights while I did my 2 Gorilla Treks at Bwindi. Jotham is the Manager and after two weeks in Uganda and two weeks in Kenya I can honestly say No Manager at any Lodge/Camp/Resort even came close to matching his... More

We stayed at Mahogany Springs for two nights on our honeymoon - the room/cottage was spacious, clean, and well appointed but our favorite part of the lodge was the deck overlooking the farms, jungle, and river. We sipped tea and ate their delicious cookies while watching a thunderstorm on the back deck - it was heavenly. The staff overlooked no... More
