What a truly special place--the location is gorgeous, the bungalows super nice, the staff so very friendly and helpful in every way, excellent all around service, and the food delicious. Coffee is brought to the room at your request, boxed lunches are prepared for day trips, and dinner served to your liking. So highly recommend this very special place.

Though our time at Mahogany Springs was quite short, we left well convinced that this was the highlight accommodation of our travels in Uganda. We were greeted with incredible service with staff greeting us by first name. Mahogany Springs is a small collections of lovely and comfortable bungallos set, very privately, in the midst of a spectacular landscape, in close proximity to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and gorilla trekking. The staff is extraordinary nice and happy to accommodate their guests' every need. Both the experience of visiting the World Heritage Site that s Bwindi and staying at Mahogany... More

Of the several lodges we stayed at in Uganda, we all agreed this was one of the best. The lodge itself has very few rooms so the level of service is well above and beyond what we expected. The staff was very friendly and met and exceeded all our requests. The food was very good and served in a way... More

My husband and I chose this lodge in Bwindi because of good reviews on TripAdvisor and also due to good reviews from other sources. For this reason, we were expecting a great place. However, the disappointment was great. The location was OK, the attendants were helpful and the building was pretty decent. But the decor was really cheesy and the... More

This review is currently under investigation and unsubstantiated. There is no proof that client became ill due to the food at the lodge. No one else at the lodge became ill and there has never been an accusation of food poisoning. The complaint was received after clients returned from travelling. There is absolutely NO proof this infection was contracted at... More

My Husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in early July. Everything was perfect...the staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was delightful...even a 'bush-baby (hot bottle) in the bed! The food (I had my best steak ever)was delicious and what fine choices! The setting is wonderful and the locals seemed genuinely pleased that we wanted to... More

Mahogany Springs is situated centrally in the village of Buhoma. The cottages are simply but attractively furnished and the views of the great mahogany tree and of the mountains in front are wonderful. The gardens are attractive and attract quite a few interesting birds so time sitting on the veranda birding is never wasted! The best part about the lodge... More
