This the only title that matches the tour I had with the Nkuringo walking safaries in March 2011. Real sense of Africa travelling by foot. Great hikes. I climbed two volcanoes, did a golden monkey track and dugout canoe lake cruise. My guide Everist was very professional and knowledgable. Of course, staying at the Nkuringo gorilla camp was one of... The Nkuringo Gorilla Camp is the best place to stay when visiting the southern side of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The camp is situated on a beautiful hilltop that over looks the rolls mountains of Bwindi and even the Virungas on a clear day. The food is some of the best you will enjoy in Uganda. The rooms are fabulous and... More

We highly recommend the Nkuringo Gorilla Camp in southwestern Uganda where we stayed in May 2011. It is a very special place with Robert Brierley in charge. Robert is absolutely passionate about Uganda and a seasoned tour guide for excursions in Africa. He has a wide knowledge of Uganda and, on top of this, is an excellent photographer who can... More

Marvellous cottages x 2, tastefully built and decorated in natural materials and fabricks, with an exquisite view over three dormant volcanoes demarkating the boundaries between Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. At night, in a distance, the active and newly formed volcano in the DRC was visible, with a brighter cone and faint lines formed by lava flows.... More

The camp, managed by Robert, was the absolute highlight of my whole Uganda trip. The rooms are very comfortable and have a nice terrace. Robert always stands with words and deeds aside, he is an fantastic photographer and can give you many useful tips. The staff is very helpful friendly. The dinner was always very good and was taken in... More

My family spent three days in July 2011 at Nkuringo Gorilla Camp as part of a special ten-day excursion set up by Nkuringo Walking Safaris. This safari, starting in Kibale Forest National Park, proceeded southwestward, taking in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Buhoma, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Mutanda, Mgahinga, and finishing in Rwanda. This one-way adventure along the westernmost part of... More

We spent two days in the gorilla campsite in october 2011. The camp stands on top of a small hill surrounded by the most incredible landscapes I had the chance to see in my whole trip to Uganda (and amongst the best I could see in my short life so far). A hundred meters down the road from the camp,... More

We LOVED this place, and are set on going back again as soon as humanly possible. Asgario and Robert have the most beautiful campsite. The location is spectacular with views of the valleys and surrounding volcanoes. The staff are warm, open and loving people who made us feel so welcome and at home. The service was impeccable. The food is... More

An absolutely incredible experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and by the time you leave they will feel more like friends. We stayed for 3 nights in February 2011. We took the post office bus from Kampala and Aaron, a staff member, picked us up in Kabale and drove us the rest of the way to the camp.... More

Spent 3 nights here to do Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi. We opted for the highest level of accomodation- the ensuite cottage which is great. Amazing views over the volcanoes. This place isnt all about luxury bells and whistles and sometimes it's good to stay at somewhere special like Nkuringo to to remind you whats important. Robert is a great host and... More
