So many things went wrong, for a very expensive weekend! Very friendly staff, but poor and slow problem solving skills. Beautiful setting and stunning spa. Booking in and checking out procedures had errors and took long.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful relaxing stay. Such beautiful and peaceful surroundings. A massage at the spa is a must. The hotel has great facilities and great staff. One of the most memorable stays we have had. We will Definitely be back!

Lovely old cottages on the river are the best place to stay. Spend as much time at the lavish pool area where a couple of the lovely old large trees shade the lush lawn. The grounds have a rather charming aspect with rambling Zebra. However all is not what it seems: A beige mishmash of architecture crowded onto every possible... More

We stayed at the lodge for a weekend and enjoyed it very much! The rooms were large and were well appointed with high quality fittings and very comfortable. The setting is beautiful, but unfortunately due to the rainy weather we were unable to enjoy the pool and sitting out areas to its full extent. The management and staff were friendly... More

We visited the lodge for one night in December. We were travelling in a group an even with us all arriving around the same time, the check-in went smoothly with the staff being friendly and helpful The room was spacious and the decor modern with King size bed. The bathroom had a double shower, double basin and bath. We did... More

A beautiful destination and exceptionally managed. Absolutely friendly staff! The food was divine! The entire resort is neat and quite. The serenity is complemented by the flowing river that runs past the place. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with double showers. The Boma is ideal for small functions. The bar has a full size pool table together with other... More

We booked a spa for a group of girlfriends. We were not offered any drinks before or to place our things in a locker. When asked to move treatment to the pool they pulled their face! We were told we were too noisy and kept on shooing us. While other white people were told nothing. Food was way over priced... More

My wife and I spend a day here without a room stay. We have been here before (at business conferences) and found the accommodation satisfactory. This time we decided to have a Spa Day to unwind into the New Year. We ordered a Lover's Special and paid R1,700 up front for the privilege. Having experienced Spa's around the world, we... More

We held a three-day workshop in one of the conference facilities at "Valley Lodge" sometime beginning of December (2013). We were a group of about twenty people, of which at least five fell ill with stomach problems and diarrhea either already during our stay there or shortly after. As one of the cases was quite severe - a salmonella infection,... More
