We spent a night at Whispering Pines after more than 10 years ago. We were personally welcomed by Lourette, and the Estate is still one of the best in Magaliesburg. This haven with spacious chalets, good food is an absolute must to experience. To all the staff, thanks for making our special night, one to remember.

We have been going to Whispering Pines for the last 15 years, we have just come back from a 3 night stay, and what can I say. The grounds are lovely, we prefer the concept of each couple having a private chalet and that is one of the reasons we keep going back. The chalets are spacious and has a... More

Everybody should experience this quiet breakaway haven! We live just a few kilometers away from Whispering Pines Country Estate and yet it felt as if we were in another country... We were personally welcomed by Lourette as if we were family. We stayed in the Honeymoon room (chalet 2) which is the most beautiful place. The patio overlooks an autumn... More

Stayed with another couple over the Xmas break.. Went with no real expectations except to rejuvenate and have a quiet break ...Stayed in the chalets, rooms were spacious with kingsize bed, shower and bath.. comfortable, with a lovely patio shaded by leafy trees and singing birds.. I have to commend on the food and service! Xmas lunch was a true... More

We stayed here for the weekend of my birthday 25 October 2013. We were very warmly received by Janice and Tammi and made to feel very welcome. To be honest, the cottage was not quite what I expected, it was somewhat dusty and did not strike me as being throughly cleaned. there were ants that were falling from the roof... More

It was meant to be a family birthday party, but it turned out more than that. Located in countryside settings in the Magaliesburg area about an hour's drive from Sandton, the resort has lovely independent cottages (and a villa!) that are well-equipped and have a choice of both modern electric heating as well as a basic (and romantic) fireplace. The... More

My wife and I stayed at Whispering Pines for two days during April 2013. We had absolutely excellent service and really enjoyed the tranquil surroundings. The food was of the highest standard and the setting is really lovely. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome all the time. I rate this resort very highly.

I took my girlfriend who was due in 4 days time with our son. The staff went out of the way to make sure she was comfortable with things, from the spa to the meals. Her lamb was cooked a bit longer and the hosts tried their utmost to make her feel comfortable. The spa was great. For the first time... More

This review is long overdue as we stayed here in 2011. This was one of the best weekend breaks we have ever experienced. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was fabulous, wonderfully equipped with anything you can desire and a lovely bathroom with the most comfortable bath ever. The service was friendly and efficient. The highlight of this... More

The beautiful location notwithstanding, it is a very lovely country estate. We were there for a workshop for 3 days, and received excellent service from the staff and manager. Upon arrival, while you are booking in, there are refreshments for you on deck overlooking the gardens. The rooms were wonderfully set up (it being cottage style, so a lot of... More
