We arrived after dark and were impressed with the romantic look and cozy atmosphere. The fireplaces are wonderful and the catering is unique. That said, the noise level from the traffic was unbearable. It was like sleeping in the emergency lane of the N1. The fact that ear plugs come standard with the room should have been a warning. We... Arrived at hotel last night. Whilst the hotel looks eclectic and quaint, it is not. The room had absolutely no sound profiting and being situated next to a very busy main road ( which was certainly not the impressions given by the website. The traffic noise was unrelenting until 230am and then started again at 530am!! What a nightmare. Directions... More

We arrived at this venue on Friday afternoon and where shown our cottage which in my opinion was of substandard. The hotel manager offered us another room which was a lot cleaner however it was located just off the dining area and water fountain and was not really that private. We went to have our cheese and wine on arrival... More

Sleeping in a 14th century French town, wake up to the African sun. Breakfast at the river, dinner at the camp fire. The experience is so unique and memorable that my husband and I, who has lived in seven different countries and visited more than 60, will not hesitate to come again. The house La Provence is a piece of... More

Pros * Really nice garden to relax by the river. * Good service from Jeremiah. Cons * Rooms are quirky, but suffered from damp, possibly due to the large fountain just outside our door. * Price is too high.

Nice concept and location by the river but execution not great at all. Some call it shabby chic, I call it rustic. Some call it cozy, I call it a mouldy smell and poor ventilation. If you're used to crispy clean accommodation where everything is well maintained this one is not for you!!

What a unique place! This place was more charming in real life than you can imagine. We will be there again for sure.. We stayed in the Le Petit Boudoir which was a beautiful room.. The clever design of this place left us constantly in awe of the huge amount of thought and consideration that has been put into the... More

Lovely atmosphere feels like really Out of Africa. Very Romantic won't recommend for families with children. Décor lovely. Had a delicious cheese platter. Breakfast next to the river. Very private and peacefull only thing bothered us heard cars driving al the time as it's close to the main road.
