I travelled to Cape Town in January this year and stayed in the Quayside Hotel in Simons Town. It is situated right in the middle of Simons Town on the harbour quayside. A brilliant position with excellent views across the bay. Saw British naval destroyers docking after being down to the Falklands. Stunning vessels. The room I had had a... More

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in this superb seaside hotel in May. From the moment we walked in hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our wonderfully comfortable room overlooked the waterfront harbour and the hotel has a Naval/shipping theme throughout. Restaurants, coffee shops, quaint antique and curio shops are at the doorstep. Thank you to Gideon... More

I stayed here for three nights! Was initially meant to be 6, but plans changed and then a travel delay meant it was only three! I informed hotel and each time it was no problem changing it and all very friendly (that was even before i arrived!) On arrival the hotel staff were as expected as friendly and helpful. Room... This hotel is ideally located in the main square of this charming and interesting town. Simonstown is an excellent base to explore the Cape Peninsular, the vineyards of Constantia and even Cape Town itself. As the name implies the hotel is positioned right on the seafront and has magnificent views of the harbour, mountains and sea. Lots of good restaurants... More

The hotel is located right at the harbor and therefore the center of Simon's Town. Shops and restaurants are nearby (try the Salty Sea Dog!). The room was quite spacious and had a nice balcony overlooking the harbor. Facilities were a little dated though. Staff was friendly and helpful with all inquiries and questions.

On the harbour you have picture view of the harbour, mountains and false bay. Rooms was spacious and well laid out. With a balcony to enjoy the view. Service was very good. Really value for money. Simonstown is a quiet but beautiful town.

Our drive to Simon's Town from Cape Town took us down the western side of the Cape Peninsula through Clifton Beach, Hout Bay, Fish Hoek, to Simon's Town. The drive was so breath-taking, with the road carved out of the rock cliffs. When checking into the Quayside Hotel, Kiernan helped us to up-grade our room to look over False Bay.... More

Good day, What a delightful review, thank you for taking the time to post it. The drive along the coastline from Cape Town to Simon’s Town is a little bit longer than using the freeway, but o so worth it, those views are just amazing. Even as a local you sometime forget how breath-taking they actually are. We are delighted... More
