Beautiful location, great food, friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast dhow, though be careful with room choice as not all have lake view and the quality/size of rooms varies significantly. Would recommend going before rainy season kicks in.

Thank you to Konrad, Ivy, Guy and the Pumulani team for making our holiday so special. Everything was perfect from arrival to Tdeparture. It's an amazing place with unique chalets, a great beach and an outstanding service. Also special thanks to Nikolas for teaching us Bao and to Loyce for the great art work and dedication to the childrens' orphanage.... More

Our honeymoon was kicked off with a 4 night stay at Pumulani lodge. This was an amazing introduction to Malawi and we managed to relax and enjoy the magnificent views from the lodge We went snorkelling and did a dhow sundowner trip. It was truly beautiful and we really will cherish this experience forever It was very hot at this... More

Heaven on earth, and exceptional service. Had the best swim of our lives at Otters point on the snorkeling trip. Staff very helpful and professional. Food was fantastic. Accomodation is spectacular. This is a place you can really unwind. In my view arguably the best place to stay in Lake Malawi National Park. Recommend staying at least 3 nights to... More

Pumalani as resort is magnficent it has picturesque views and a relaxing atmosphere. However the management of the resort leaves alot to be desired the individuals we met with were very rude to us and showed very little flexibility in meeting our needs (i.e. dietary requirements). The food was terrible with extremely small portions, lacked freshness. I found the rooms... More

I loved Pumulani lodge. The rooms/ villas are huge. The bathroom alone bigger than many appartments in the West. The views of the lake are wonderful. And at night the only noise you hear is birds and the baboons playing nearby. Food is not their strong point but it was fine - just nothing to write home about. The staff... More

The place had been recommended by the Lonely Planet travelguide, that's why we drove by, on our long distance travel Europe - South Africa. As to read, we've not been the first ones, that tried to visit this place by showing up. But, other like Mark, here in the review we got no access. Here is, how it went, written... More

The place is the private reserve, so there are no local venders to annoy us. I spent a night at Pumulani with our friend as the escape from busy and tired working days. Right after stepping into the place, there was so much hospitality. Every staff was friendly and very helpful. Sunset cruise and astronomical observation were my favorite of... More

This was our third visit to Pumulani after almost 5 years and we were impressed how the accommodation has not aged in all. Clearly the maintenance and upkeep of the Villas have been a priority. We were also very impressed with one of the waitresses who actually remembered us from our previous two visits. Pumulani is not your average safari... More

Spent 2 nights here as a fine ending for our Zambia-Malawi tour; the place delivered just what we'd expected: a nice pool to relax in and soak up some sun; good food; a beautifully enticing room with an amazing bathroom and 2 balconies with vistas over the huge lake Malawi (actually, an inland sea); a chance to look up at...
