We have just spent another great (and hot) weekend with family and friends at Mt Barney Lodge. Tracey, Innes and Nea were friendly and helpful (as always!). The kids loved their Night Adventure with Innes and are looking forward to the next time they can do it. We all enjoyed swimming at the Yellow Pinch rock pool. Some of us... More

Starting with an awesome greeting our 4 days here were just magic. We just chilled - took in the rippa view - bit of walking- bit of swimming. My friends kids flew around on their pushies and in no time were hooked up with other kids. Onl y possible negative was that we were quite far from the dunnies, which... More

We stayed in the camping trailers with our three young children under 8yrs and thoroughly enjoyed our two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful and could not do more to make our stay comfortable and interesting. The location was absolutely serene and we all managed to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The three local walking trails we... More

We have just arrived home from a 3 night stay at Mt Barney Lodge. From my first email to our check out the staff were delightful and very helpful. Our children (aged 5 & 8) loved the kids club, especially the Night Adventure. We went on some beautiful walks and the children thoroughly enjoyed the rock pool at Yellow Pinch... More

More like a bush camp with hot showers and toilets, this is located in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains and rolling hills. When we visited in early spring there were calves wandering across the road so watch out on your drive in. The grounds of the property are like parkland with many wallabies around and the lodge itself full... More

I do remember your use of bicycles on the property quite vividly, what a great idea. We usually only have a handful of kids who bring their bikes along, but as there is a gentle downhill slope from office-campground and amenities to Wallaby Flat (the furthest campground section) a bike is the ideal camping accessory at Mt Barney Lodge!! We... More

Hi AS, I personally took your call, which came in mid morning on the second day of your planned stay. This was on a busy weekend where we were 100% booked. I did express my personal sympathy regarding your childs serious hospitalization, and spent sometime outlining our deposit policy to you. I disagree that the conversation was cold, but rather... We have been regular guests at Mt Barney lodge since 2008 and that says it all. The location is beautiful, the accommodation clean, cozy and full of character and the hosts friendly and helpful. We climbed Mt Barney and camped on top on our last trip - spectacular views and a good all body workout! Innes and Tracey are a... More

Went up to Mt Barney with a group of friends and decided to use the Forrester Hut. It rained all weekend. The undercover outside area of the hut became the meeting place for everyone. With the fireplace it was a wonderful warm environment for us all to enjoy and forget about the rain. Accommodation was much better than expected. Very... More

That may have been the last time we actually even saw rain Philip!! It is nearly November and we are still waiting for a day to be stuck indoors. In hindsight it seems like you were the lucky one. Can you come back soon and bring the rain with you please??!! ;) Thanks for taking the time to post your... More

We camped at Mt Barney twice over 3 weeks in June/July 2014. The grounds, facilities, staff and feel of the place is just great. The activities during school hols are really well run, and there's a real feeling of family there. Mt Barney seems to attract mostly considerate family campers, so that works for us. Seeing the thousands of stars... More

Hey BenAndHolly, we love it that you came back for more after just a couple of weeks. We do alot of behind-the-scenes management of our campground so that things run smoothly when you come to visit. We agree, the important stuff is to be able to chill out and gaze at the stars when you visit! More

I attended the navigation workshop at Mt Barney Lodge during July. It offered fantastic value for money with attentive and constructive instruction from Innes. Yes, the concepts and equipment were a little challenging in the first instance for the navigation neophyte, however the ability to apply my new knowledge on a couple of subsequent (guided) walks was so helpful.
