We are impressed with the services at this hotel. The staffs are very nice and polite especially one lady (wear eye glasses) who accompanied us to the room when we checked in. This hotel is not a new hotel but is well kept in a good condition. The carpet may need to be replaced. Their slippers and pajamas are comfortable.... More

My family of 4 adults stayed in 1 room comfortably. Even though the rooms has this rustic feel, but it is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent (Milk and home made juice is a must try)! We even had dinner at the chinese restaurant at level 2. Good if you are missing some chinese food. We drove to Asahikawa Grand... More

My family and I stayed here for two nights in July 2014. Initially, it was just a backup option for our three days traveling around Furano and Biei during summer peak season. It turned out to be a wonderful experience and worked perfectly fine with our itinerary. The breakfast was great, came with both western style and Japanese style that... More

Make no mistake--this is a VERY nice hotel. However, the only things "Grand" about it is its name and the lobby, which is the size of a football field and very elegant. Our room was a very nice size, comparable (in size) to a nice Days Inn or Super 8 in the States. It was not overly large. It did... More

Room size was spacious, we could open 2 big luggages at the same time. There's a 2-seater couch and a small coffee table. A work table with chair as well. Hotel is well located, about 15 mins walk to JR Asahikawa train station. Parking at hotel was ¥1000 per night. Value for money as the room rates came with free... More

The Asahikawa Grand puts on the show in the common areas. The lobby is opulent but slightly dated. There are two available breakfasts. The Japanese breakfast is on the seventh floor. The view is nice and the ambience very quiet. However, the selection is limited. The bigger buffet is hosted on the ground floor. It has many of the Japanese... More

Stayed in this grand hotel during the snow festival. Ours is a fairly spacious double bedroom. Everything gives you a luxurious feel, including the bed cover. But when we actually went to bed, we found that the bed cover was actually a quilt too. And that was when the nightmare started. The material of the quilt was so 'crispy' and... More

Room was excellent but bathroom small and had a large gap under the door. Only one bus to the airport in the morning at 7am otherwise a taxi for $45. Breakfast excellent but in true Japanese fashion, you need to line up and beat the rush. When you use your DEBIT travel card be careful because the bank will charge... More

classic old hotel, high ceiling hall, long window curtains. Spacious room. The shopping street is next to the hotel. As other viewers said, take a taxi to the JR station in winter and it costs you yen540, Most staff can speaks some English, and nice. Breakfast? Awesome as they offer my favourite salmon roe. Highly recommend if you will stay... More

Pretty awesome hotel which is reasonable priced. The family room was comfortable and well equipped. Free wifi. We have the Japanese breakfast at the 5th floor which was awesome with a pretty view. The normal breakfast at ground floor was awesome as well with a place of a high ceiling. Staff speaks little English but they can tell you the... More
