Checking into this hotel was a breath of fresh air compared to my previous hotel I stayed at in the area. For a start there was a Japanese check-in staff member on duty that spoke perfect English. Rooms were bigger and the hotel quoted price per night was great. Contrary to the hotel we stayed at last, this hotel only... More

This is our 2nd time staying at Loisir Hotel Asahikawa. Our expectations were met. Rooms are clean and nice with free wifi. Great service with very helpful English speaking concierge on standby at the lobby to render assistance. Location is good too, just a short 10 - 15 min to Asahikawa JR station. Many many shops, restaurants along the way.... More

We planned to stay in the hotel for 3 nights in July 2015 but we turned out stayed for 4 nights because we enjoyed the stay so much. We stayed in Rm 1407 which is a suite on the top floor. The suite was huge by Japanese standard and by western standard. The view from the room is panoramic. There... More

Considering the price paid, this hotel is quite expensive at 30K JPY per night without breakfast. Maybe it's due to peak summer lavender season, but I don't think it is worth the price. The room was generally ok. I've booked a triple room, which was big for family of 4, with the toddler sleeping with one parent. Room cleanliness wise... More

Stayed for 2 nights in June 2015. We arrived in a Subaru Forrester and was told that our vehicle was too big to park in the hotel; we were directed to park in an open air carpark diagonally across the street which we had to pay an additional 1000 yen per night. (We discovered the next day that all the... More

About 15 minute walking distance from the Asahikawa train station. Cons. They did not have English tourist maps Not close to to Asahiyama or any tourist spots.... More

Clean and very good location to Asahikawa train station and surrounded by many restaurants, and a shopping mall, which is next to Asahikawa train station. there is a small local restaurant opens 24hours serving oir favourite beef bowl with egg. Starbuck in the shopping mall. So there is no need to have breakfast in the hotel.

Hotel has free wifi which comes in handy in current day and age. Service and hotel meals are excellent and provides value for money. Overall, it's a good location to have a good rest. Didn't explore much on the vicinity and unable to comment much. The biggest feature of this hotel are the friendly staff and immaculate service.

Greetings from Geoffrey Goh. The air con was not working. It would be perfectly ok not to turn on the air con since outside was 10 deg in the evening. But the windows were completely sealed. We searched in vain for any possibility to open a small gap. In desperation we called the hotel Front Desk. "we have switched off... More

We stayed in Asahikawa just for one night before heading to Furano. There is more hotel choices in Asahikawa than Furano to be honest especially during the peak season in July. Driving to Furano took about two hours and Biei for about an hour. It is just one straight road next to the train railway which is quite interesting. We... More
