Leaking toilet (clean water ran into hole in bathroom floor) and broken hair dryer but the bed and room were clean and I was tired. The meals were terrific though and overall it was a nice one day stay. Just make sure you check the room out and if you aren't falling down exhausted from Petra, be sure you get... More

The hotel tries to be great: very friendly and prompt service, free parking, decent breakfasts on white linen tablecloth. And is VERY clean. However, the rooms are very dated, have minimal storage capacity. Water pressure is very low to periodically non-existent, and bathrooms are poorly designed.

Hotel was fantastic, lovely people, warm greeting from all the staff. Nice room, swimming pool, lovely food. Everyone spoke English! Some better than the english😳 free shuttle bus to sights, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone should stay here if going to Petra to see the ruins.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed in 3 years and it was just as good. The food is absolutely fantastic, the staff are super friendly and the room is clean, as is the rest of the hotel. They run a free shuttle bus to and from the famous Petra site which is really convenient. It's a great place to... More

Great rooms, great staff, wonderful Turkish Bath. The food was average to good and it was nice getting dinner right there at the hotel. They serve the local beer. We've stayed twice, once in September and once in March, and both times were great! This is one of the hotels recommended in the guide books. When our car wouldn't start... More

Starting with the positive, the people who work at Amra Palace are a real asset; they were helpful and friendly although very keen on trying to upsell tours eg. Petra by Night, their Wadi Rum camp etc. The swimming pool is really nice, it's not particularly warm on a cold day but long and wide enough to swim in. Next... More

The hotel was booked for us as part of a tour to Wadi Rum and Petra. Great location for a Petra visit. It was fine for an overnight, looks charming from the outside with a pretty fountain in front. It was perfectly clean but a bit worn out in the rooms and bathroom. But it was fine for what I... More

This hotel was booked as part of the private tour to Petra and Wadi Rum. My friend and I also booked the Turkish bath after 6 hours of walking and hiking in Petra. That really relaxed and rejuvenate us after burning 2000 calories. Then we had dinner at the dining hall--the chicken over rice pilaf was delicious! The room isn't... More

A nice hotel with jacuzzi and pool. They will make you eggs to your order. One complaint is that the plugs are a mess. Even their own adapter did not work correctly - outlet shapes were weird. Nice friendly staff. Cannot have any alcohol with dinner- other than beer which somehow does not count!

What I loved about this hotel was the location. It's a little more than 3 miles from Petra which gets you away from the totally tourist feel of Petra. The town is tiny. An easy walk from the hotel. And it's interesting with mosques and people living their life. We particularly loved the (many) delicous bakeries in town. One in particular... More
