I stayed in this hotel for just a night after a long and tiring day walking the heritage sites of Petra. It's not too far from the Petra site but it is not also near for walking. You would rather save those energy for Petra walks. The entrance looks nice with green scenery and a fountain. Check-in was quick and... More

Seeing all the fantastic reviews I decided to stay in this hotel with my too children. I must have been in another place with the same name or other reviewers exaggerate a bit too much. Our rooms were not renovated since many years, carpets were dirty, breakfast was cheap, It is at the end a tourist one night stopover hotel... More

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Nice indoor pool and Spa is really priceworthy. The food was very decent and the personal always very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 10 minutes drive from Petra.

I stayed at Amra Palace for three nights and loved the hotel. The staff is exceptionally helpful, the rooms are clean, the breakfast buffet is huge - what more can you possibly hope for. The hotel even offers a shuttle service to the visitor center at Petra.

This is a great option if you are looking for more local hospitality in Petra (if you prefer a smaller family run place with some local charm instead of the bigger classics like Marriott or Moevenpick). The rooms were very clean and comfortable with amazing big beds. The owners have paid attention to small details such as putting double windows... More

I stayed at the Amra Palace for 4 nights while vising Petra. While the hotel is a little dated and not within walking distance of the ruins, the staff was excellent. I had a rented a car in Amman and driven to Petra. While there, I experienced mechanical problems with the vehicle. Upon calling the emergency phone number, the mechanic... More

I booked a double room for 2 nights directly on the website of the hotel for 77 euro/night including breakfast for 2. Comfortablel and clean hotel. Affordable price. This hotel is located in a calm street, 2km from the entrance gate to Petra. Free hotel shuttle available (7, 8 and 9AM TO Petra; 4, 5, 6PM FROM Petra) or take... More

Amra Palace is above the town centre which is quite some way above the gates to Petra but they have a free shuttle and driving is no problem (car parks at hotel and at Petra entrance) or taxis are cheap 3jd from bottom of hill. Entrance garden is lovely and has a grand but comfy feel. All staff (particularly reception... More

This is a lovely hotel with spotless comfy rooms, good amenities and beautiful gardens. Would prefer this to a generic five star any day. It's about two Kilometres from Petra entrance but has regular shuttle. The only negatives were that younger front desk staff not very helpful and the restaurant is nothing special although buffet was fine.
