Stayed here for two nights in May 2015. A welcome cold drink on arrival with warm greetings. Rooms quite nice and comfy large double bed - but certainly not pristine. Lift available to rooms. Breakfast quite nice, with freshly cooked eggs/omelettes to your requirements. Ate in one night to buffet dinner - quite nice and very good value (compares well... More

We visited Petra on a package tour through Eco Tours. Tour operation was very well organized, however the choice of hotel was awful. Hotel needed some TLC everything looked broken. Dinner was inedible and breakfast the next morning was just as bad. The saving grace of the hotel was the very sweet and kind staff. We have let Eco Tours... More

Certainly no palace! Spent 1 night as part of a Petra tour package from Eilat. Hotel is old and very in need of an overall. Rooms are tired, bathrooms very small and old. Pool was indoors and not too bad. Food...we had dinner and breakfast...was inedible. The only thing that was good was the attitude and service of the staff.... More

Stayed here for one night during a two day trip to Petra. Staff was extremely friendly during the stay, especially nice to our two year old son who can be a handful at times. Breakfast in the morning was adequate and offered a nice selection of fruits and salads. Only comment for improvement was that we wanted to enjoy the... More

We stayed at the Amra Palace for 2 nights as part of a group tour to Petra. The hotel is an old, small hotel with small-sized rooms (bring soap). There is a mini fridge; safe (bolted to the closet wall), pool and Turkish bath (massages are available for a fee). If you have to do laundry, the hotel's rates are... More

A Palace for a very unrespected royal perhaps? Generally great staff, welcome drink on arrival etc, great waiters apart from annoying habit of mainly being interested in packing away and bringing a bill half way through the meal. Superb Bell Boy who was great throughout. Sadly, arrogant night manager happy to rip us off for a Petra by night' trip... More

Very clean and comfortable rooms, and a great breakfast buffet. The younger ones loved the indoor pool. The hotel is a long walk from the entrance to Petra - if you don't have a car, get a taxi and save your legs for all the walking around Petra itself, particularly as you'll want to be up early to beat the... The facility is a bit old, but still in immaculate condition. From the West-Facing windows, one gets wonderful views of Petra, the surrounding mountains, and the Sunsets. The Mosque nearby does get very loud though, during prayers - the good thing about it being that a wake-up alarm is not needed in the room! The hotel has got wonderful facilities.... More

Leaking toilet (clean water ran into hole in bathroom floor) and broken hair dryer but the bed and room were clean and I was tired. The meals were terrific though and overall it was a nice one day stay. Just make sure you check the room out and if you aren't falling down exhausted from Petra, be sure you get... More

The hotel tries to be great: very friendly and prompt service, free parking, decent breakfasts on white linen tablecloth. And is VERY clean. However, the rooms are very dated, have minimal storage capacity. Water pressure is very low to periodically non-existent, and bathrooms are poorly designed.
