I wouldn't go back unless I had no other accomodations. Relatively close to Petra was the good feature. Our group of 5 was not pleased. With the 3 rooms between us they all needed serious attention. They felt rather like a hostel and a rustic one at that. The food was okay, nothing special. There are a lot of rooms... More

Stayed for two nights last week whilst visiting Petra on a McCabe's pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The hotel is a restored 'village' which, I think, dates back to the 1990s if not before. Our first impressions were that it is principally a timeshare establishment. We had a well sized 'room' on the end of a block about twenty yards... More

We called for the hotel shuttle bus and waited an hour for the bus to arrive at Petra. The bus was run-down and seemed to be falling apart (the side door wouldn't close and I didn't even bother to look for a seat belt). The ride to the hotel, although a rough and bumpy, does provide some great views of... More

Spent two nights here. The bathroom smelled like mold and mildew, but maybe even worse. We wondered if there could be something toxic going on. Not everyone had rooms that smelled bad, but a few in our group did. The beds were clean, blankets scratchy and mattress VERY firm. We did suggest to the management there was a bad smell... More

What potential this place has... But.... Lots of open spaces, nooks and crannies but nowhere to sit outside except the bar with no view and no sun. The staff from the guy on reception onwards are unsmiling and all seem unhappy. It makes for a fairly depressing experience. My partner and I both felt that the architect had done a... More

We loved this hotel, converted from an Ottoman village! It was quaint, with great views, comfortable and 'characterful' rooms, and a good restaurant (though my Mum thought it was a bit dark - especially for breakfast!). My whole body ached from a 5-hour trek up to the monastery and back in Petra, so I was SO GRATEFUL to find they... More

We were booked at this hotel by Viking Cruises as part of a post-cruise extension to Jordan (Petra was amazing!). Shame on Viking for putting its guests there! We were booked in a separate building that was very difficult to reach; the wheelies on our suitcases were torn-up by the ragged hardscape. Each member of our group complained about a... More

We spent two nights here while visiting Petra. The staff is friendly and the rooms are large. But the whole property is worn and needs a refresh. The buffet breakfast and dinner are OK, but nothing special. If you eat late, the selection diminishes substantially. The hotel seems to cater to large groups, which is fine if you are in... More
