We called for the hotel shuttle bus and waited an hour for the bus to arrive at Petra. The bus was run-down and seemed to be falling apart (the side door wouldn't close and I didn't even bother to look for a seat belt). The ride to the hotel, although a rough and bumpy, does provide some great views of... More

Spent two nights here. The bathroom smelled like mold and mildew, but maybe even worse. We wondered if there could be something toxic going on. Not everyone had rooms that smelled bad, but a few in our group did. The beds were clean, blankets scratchy and mattress VERY firm. We did suggest to the management there was a bad smell... More

What potential this place has... But.... Lots of open spaces, nooks and crannies but nowhere to sit outside except the bar with no view and no sun. The staff from the guy on reception onwards are unsmiling and all seem unhappy. It makes for a fairly depressing experience. My partner and I both felt that the architect had done a... More

We loved this hotel, converted from an Ottoman village! It was quaint, with great views, comfortable and 'characterful' rooms, and a good restaurant (though my Mum thought it was a bit dark - especially for breakfast!). My whole body ached from a 5-hour trek up to the monastery and back in Petra, so I was SO GRATEFUL to find they... More

We were booked at this hotel by Viking Cruises as part of a post-cruise extension to Jordan (Petra was amazing!). Shame on Viking for putting its guests there! We were booked in a separate building that was very difficult to reach; the wheelies on our suitcases were torn-up by the ragged hardscape. Each member of our group complained about a... More

We spent two nights here while visiting Petra. The staff is friendly and the rooms are large. But the whole property is worn and needs a refresh. The buffet breakfast and dinner are OK, but nothing special. If you eat late, the selection diminishes substantially. The hotel seems to cater to large groups, which is fine if you are in... More

the Architecture of the hotel is unique as it resembles the village of Arab land. However it need improvement in its service standards. we have occupied room 718 to 721 during our two days stay in first week of October 2014. The ambiance of the rooms and toilets need much improvement to claim themselves of four star standards. They do... More

We enjoyed our stay here. It is a little far from the main Petra site. However, you gain a spectacular view of the nearby region which makes it worth the small extra drive. The rooms were all fine in terms of cleanliness, etc. They are only missing wifi but you can get it at the lobby. Breakfast ok. The pool... More

A group of 27 pilgrims were welcomed acceptably. Cases distributed efficiently around to rooms, some of which had wonderful views of Petra mountains, and some with deceptively excellent bathrooms with walk in showers etc. The hotel sprawls across a former village site on a hillside which challenges even the orienteers among you to find your way even with map provided....
