We only stayed here for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel. The room was very charming and huge! It used to be an old village, but was converted to a hotel in the '60s. There's a beautiful pool, but didn't have time to use it. The service and food was good. I would... more

I went on a private tour of Jordan and were we lodged at the lovely Taybet Zaman. Less than a 10min drive brought us to Petra. Hotel has individual guest rooms that are spacious and makes you feel you are in Jordan. Grounds are lovely, well kept and overlook a town on the hill. It is surrounded by mosques and... more

I am not sure what are hotel standards around Petra, knowing that there are many tourists and probably there is no much need to attract specifically, but this hotel definitely failed to live up to the 5 stars it boasts. I am normally very tolerant and hate to complain, but I would not want other travellers to be dissappointed during... more

Have just spent a couple of nights at Taybet. The renovation is fairly well done, if not a bit try hard, stunning views; good for photos. Not sure how it would be on a blistering hot day though. The weather was fresh so couldn't try the pool, which did look quite inviting. Rooms are certainly quaint and authentic, but would... more

Petra is fantastic but everyone wants to do it at a rush. Taybet Zaman is away from the crowd, has massive charm and none of the hotel chain atmosphere. Not everything works - it is an old village converted to a hotel complex. The village bath house works, the rooms have walls a metre thick and we had a sitting... more

My husband and myself stayed one night at this hotel during our Jordan tour. At first sight hotel is nice idea, but as soon as we contact the staff and especially when we enter the room, disappointment was dominating feeling. The room we got had 2 separate beds, with worst mattresses we ever experienced and old, dirty looking blankets and... more

just back after 3 nights stay at taybet zaman, make a reservation through the hotel, we are asking for a room with a view, and we got it. perfect setting! the atmosphere, architectures, the bathroom is good, water heater and water pressure is perfect, the location of the hotel is nice, although a bit far from the "down town" area. but... more

We stayed here for two nights as part of an Adventures Abroad tour of Jordan and can recommend it as a different experience from a standard hotel. The location is wonderful with great views, particularly at sunset. And, because it's 15 minutes from Petra, you are away from the tourist bustle in "downtonwn" Wadi Musa. The rooms are basic, but... more

Almost a dream hotel somewere in the middle of nowhere in the centre of world.:) I am still puzzling over some of the personnel so-to-say "acts". First we were given a steaming like a hamaam room, which they changed with not a very happy face. The porter asked for some additional material retribution for carrying our things two times as... more

We were not traveling on a tour and, because of that, had some difficulty making a reservation. We finally went through a travel agency (Jordan Reservations / www.jordan-travel.jo) we located on the web. It is well worth the effort to stay in this location though it is a 15 minute drive from the entrance to Petra. It is a charming... more
