Is near everything and you don't need to walk around the city to visit Petra, is just some meters. breakfast is good, many typical things, staff friendly! big beds in the room, swimming pool if you have time and a bar where many people come to stay, drink and talk!

The hotel itself is clean, but a bit run down. It had a sign at the entrance displaying four stars, but this is definitely not a four star hotel. I shared a room, which I was told was for four people. While it was comfortable for two, it would have been a tight squeeze for four. The shower was good,... More

Positives: As others have said, this is a perfect location for visiting Petra (why else would you be here?). Wifi free in the lobby and this extends into the bar - great little bar with no sales tax added onto drinks (which can be as much as 26% in others - see Cave Bar!) If you want a very easy... More

The hotel has amazing location exactly on the street in front of Petra, like less than 5 min walk. Has pub and restaurant even though it is location gives you access to all the restaurants and shops in the area since is located on the main street. Very comfortable and great price comparing the other hotels in that area .... More

We spent two nights at this hotel. I chose this hotel rather than the Movenpick based on location and price. At a lower price than the Movenpick, it was still less than 5 minutes walk from Petra's entrance. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a room that opened onto the pool and relaxed in the afternoons reading our books.... More

Stayed mid September 2014 The pros override the cons in this hotel, so overall I was very happy with my stay. The room was a nice size and it had big windows overlooking the pool–most rooms do. They say the best rooms are the ones that open out on to the pool, but I was actually quite glad I didn't... More

Well the first thing about hotels in petra is its location and this scores hugely bcos of its location. Its located very close to the vistors centre (a 5 mnt walk only). Hotel is quite big and especially had to walk a real lot from the elevator for our room. rooms were nice, big and well maintained. You will feel... More

We stayed as a group of six at this hotel for one night whilst visiting Petra. I have been to Petra before and had a bad experience in a previous hotel. So was weary and critical. But I was very pleasantly surprised at the Petra Palace. The staff are very accommodating and polite. The hotel is clean and rooms are... More

The hotel is ideal for its walking distance to the Petra's complex entrance. It is cheap compared to other places in Jordan. The rooms are spacious and decent. There's internet and good food options around the hotel. You really need to consider this place because it offers you what you need after a long walking day under the sun. You'll... More

My choice fell upon Petra Palace after scouring through the choices available in Petra. You really cannot go wrong here... it is literally a stone's throw from the Visitors Centre and Gate of Petra, just a short walk. An added bonus if one wants to go to "Petra by night", close to "home". The rooms are clean albeit a bit... More
