The rooms were comfortable enough, definitely clean and the hotel was situated very closely to the entrance to the Petra site - best feature by far. The pool area looked very nice, though we did not use it. Our main complaint would be the type of plugs used in the rooms are not the same as the 2 other common... More

Very close to the entrance to Petra this hotel is clean and the rooms a good size. Breakfast was good but tended to run out when large tour groups were being pushed through for an early start. Staff were ok but not particularly friendly. Free wifi in the lobby was good.

Stayed for 2 nights with our children. The hotel does need some updating, but overall not a bad stay at all. Food was okay, service excellent. Rooms were a good size - we were in the last two rooms of the Hotel and we peeked into some others as we passed and they were in a much better condition than... More

The Petra Palace is not a new hotel and it could do with some new carpet and a repaint but it's in a great location just up the hill from the Petra Visitor's Centre and it's reasonably priced. Our room was big and very comfortable with a clean bathroom and a good shower though there was no soap provided. The... More

Best thing about Petra Palace was its location. The place obviously is set to deal with tours, and it did it well. The staff was busy but didn't act rushed. However, they never corrected that lack of heat in the room that they kept promising. The food was decent. The rooms and other areas were "tired," as one reviewer aptly described.

A great place to stay while in Petra. Steps from the Petra visitors centre, this is the perfect hotel as far as location. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection to choose from. Wi-fi was only available in the lobby, so not ideal.Good value, polite & helpful staff & and a great sleep would have me staying here again when... More

This hotel is wonderfully located and very clean, but compared to other similarly-priced hotels in the area I'm not sure it's the best value for the price. The rooms could use an upgrade: the bedding is worn, the beds sink in the middle, and the linens were old. Not looking for the Movenpick, but for the cost, I expected a... More

Petra is a busy place and the hotels get hammered. This one is getting pretty worn out. The location is good, the restaurant good but the rooms desperately need refurbishment. Free wi fi in the lobby.

Spent 3 nights where to explore Petra and the hotel was exactly as you read here. Nothing spectacular, but tidy and clean with just a short walk into the ruins at Petra. We stayed In a family quad room which consisted of a large room with 2 double beds and a small seating area. Doors opened to the pool deck... More

The location makes it worth it. But, it's not the Movenpick. It's more on par with a Motel 6. If you've never stayed at a hotel with real keys - this is your chance. It's been redone and it was home base for two nights. Not much entertainment for kids. TV channels are slim to none. I think the people... More
