Three nights in the Marriot Petra confirmed this was a very good choice if not a great choice. The hotel is situated about a 10 min taxi ride from the entrance to the Petra Monument . Outside Of Wadi Musa, Petra's service town. Just note staying at the Marriot requires some negotiation with taxi drivers in relation to taxi fare... More

Marriot Petra is a wonderful hotel on the top of the modern city with a grate view of the Petra mountains. All the rooms are spread around an atrium and breakfast is served in a beautiful dinning hall with a view to the pool and the mountains of Petra. The Italian restaurant was very nice with a grate atmosphere but... More

Only 5 minutes from Petra entrance, we had a rental car so it was pretty easy to get there, they also have free parking. Rooms were not fancy but still nice, they have 3 good restaurants (Buffet, Italian and Bedouin). What makes it unique from other hotels close to Petra is the location, it sits on top of a hill... I stayed there only one night and I had pretty bad experience. The hotel was very nice, clean and safe. Rooms had minibars. Unfortunately, in mine refrigerator was no price list of alcohol and chocolate bars, so I assumed that they are in the price of the hotel room. When I realized that I have to pay for it, I... More

We didn't actually stay in the hotel but we came here every night for dinner. The staff were lovely but I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic the food was in the Italian restaurant! After the fourth faultless meal, I mentioned it to the waiter who informed me that the chef was actually only seventeen! I can honestly say I have... More

We really loved our experience in this hotel! especially the spa-pool services that relax you after a very tiring day in the Petra premises! Excellent food in the traditional Beduin restaurant that is in the hotel. we had one of our best meals there, very traditional and typical food, great wine and really nice desserts!

The Marriott Hotel in Petra is one of my favorite places to visit because of its excellent staff. Employees such as Moayed Nawafleh, Haroun Fdoul, Ra'ed, managers Ahmed and Mahmoud, and others have made my stays there rewarding due to their attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism. Each of these gentlemen work hard to provide excellent service to me and other customers.... More

This hotel is located about 7 minutes drive from the main entrance to Petra. However, the location is absolutely stunning, with wonderful views of the dessert and mountains, watching the sunset is lovely. I would not say it is a 5 star hotel, but it is most definitely a top class 4 star. The rooms are very well appointed with... More

Yes, it's a nice hotel. Yes, it has a great view of the desert. And yes, it has a nice breakfast buffet, but something is lacking. It's not really a five star hotel. Then again, you come here to see Petra, not to spend time in the hotel.

We stayed here during the last few days of Ramadan. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and pleasent, the breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice. We especially enjoyed the view from the terrace and the tent behind the hotel as the sun set! Overall a very pleasent stay.
