We spet three nights at the Marriott in Petra as a base for our visiting the historic site. The Marriott is located high on a mountainside overlooking a valley and Aaron's tomb. I can not convey the magnificent view in the afternoon when the sun starts to set. It's just beautiful. The hotel is full service and the staff dedicated... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were quite pleased. Request a room with a view to experience the exquisite sunrises. There was no transportation provided to Petra (maybe because it was off-season?) but the front desk arranged a cab each day. Cab was prompt and we requested to be picked up at Petra each afternoon. Driver was there early... More

Had a very nice time at the Marriott last weekend. We had our own car so the distance was not an issue. Check-in receptionist was a bit cool towards us, but not rude. We had booked 2 king rooms and a room with 2 doubles, but were given 1 king and 2 rooms with doubles so we could all be... More

I stayed here for two nights in November 2014. The property overlooks Petra, so it has a stunning view, but the nearest town is not within walking distance. The entrance to Petra is approximately a ten minute drive. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They speak English very well and are eager to assist. The room I had was clean... More

Worst Marriott property I have been to. The check-in experience was bad. The room allotted had two queen size beds which shouldn't have been the case as we requested for a king one in advance. After multiple requests, they gave a smaller room with a king bed. We shifted there but to our bad luck, the air con wasn't working... More

Nice food superbly delivered by attentive staff to the backdrop of simply stunning scenery. Although they had run out of our ordered deserts the Duty Manager gathered some traditional items together and threw them in for free, just because we had been waiting ten minutes! The balcony looks out over the inviting pool and the glorious sunset, all just ten... More

I personally am grateful when customers take the time and make suggestions on how we are able to enhance our service and offerings. I must apologize about the lack of free WIFI in rooms, but effective January 15, 2015, all Marriott... More

We have stayed at a number of hotels in Petra as we've been probably 6-7 times over the last 8 or so years. We stayed for 2 nights at the Marriott (our second time staying the first soon after it opened). The hotel has fantastic views. You are really staying here for views not convenience. If you won't have either... More

Stayed at the Marriott Petra with my wife for one night during my recent weekend leisure trip to Jordan (Nov 14). We had driven 3.5 hours from the airport and had arrived at the hotel just after sunset. The weather was gloomy and we had not expected rain in Jordan. The hotel has a carpark for its guests which is... More

Very good service and views of the mountain range around Petra. Rooms were excellent but make sure you get a mountain facing room. Couldn't fault the room we had ,very clean ,comfortable bed ,excellent bathroom. Staff were excellent and the buffet food we had was very good and varied. Breakfast was similar with a very wide choice ,they will cook... More

Nothing against the service quality, but keep in mind that if you are visiting Petra, best to stay near the Petra entrance. The Movenpick, even though slightly expensive, is the best option for this. That aside, the room quality is excellent, we got superior rooms even though we paid for standard ones. The view from the hotel is also excellent!... More
