Typical of what you'd expect from the Marriott: comfy rooms and good service. The location allows great view of the mountain range. Petra is a short drive away, allowing travellers to be far enough from the town to relax in a quiet setting after a long trek through the ancient valley.

We spent one night - and although it was April - the temperature dropped to 4 degrees in the morning. The pool looked lovely but very out of place (as it was suddenly wintery!) Dress for winter when trsveling to Wadi Mussa. Obviously it might be very hot, but it can get very cold! The room was large enough, the... More

the marriott is beautifully located on the mountain outside of Petra. Nice setting. The rooms clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful but they rip you off coming and going with the taxis. If they arrange a pickup in Amman, except to pay 100jd thru the hotel, but only 70jd if you hire at the airport. Same rip off... More

Took forever to get a drink at the bar, very slow service. In addition, the waiter at the Italian restaurant was extremely rude, we were served the wrong wine and then he argued with us that the error was our fault. We were served a wrong dish which had to be returned with no apologies from the staff, only attitude... More

Despite its great location overlooking the Petra mountains, this establishment manages to underwhelm. It's not only the slightly dated decor or the poor breakfast buffet - could they have spent any less on the limited selection and adulterated juice? It's the 'we just couldn't care less' attitude of the staff. From front desk to dining room no-one has any warmth... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of our visit to Petra. Although quite some distance from the town this is more than compensated for by the views and the facilities. The restaurants were great (esp. as I am vegetarian + there was a lot of choice for me) as were the rooms - comfortable, a good... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Marriott at Petra. We stayed for three nights with our two children (ages 8 and 9). Our room was comfotable and had a gorgeous view of the mountains of Petra. We are Marriott rewards members, so we also had free wifi in our room, as well as in the lobby. The buffet... More

This is a low key but warm and intimate hotel. We stayed for three night with two young kids. Staff were very friendly and always ready to do extra miles to serve you even tough I have to admit that this hotel is pretty much under-staffed. The sunset outdoor lounge at the back of the hotel is nice. Simple but... More
