After looking to different Options, I decided to book at The Rock Camp because of the amenities they offered. BIG MISTAKE. besides the Location, the rest was completely not true. No henna Tattoos, no kohl, no traditional Outfits, no buffet breakfast. they charged us 14 JOD (20 EUR) extra per person for the buffet dinner... not such a Thing. It... More

I visited the Rock Camp as part of a group travelling with Voyages Jules Verne. I wasn't looking forward to it as I thought that it would be too touristy for me but I left with a different point of view. Whilst we waited for our dinner we had drinks and were introduced to the delights of Kohl for our... More

We stayed 1 night at the Rock Camp, hiked the canyon (peaceful and beautiful!), learned to bake Bedouin bread, had a delicious dinner and breakfast, and enjoyed visiting with Ismail, Mahmoud, and the other staff at the camp. They made us feel relaxed and welcome and told stories of the area. We stayed in the Bedouin tents, basic tent with... More

The location is magnificent, the staff is excellent (Ismail and Mahmoud, thanks a lot!), food is very good and it is definetely a more than recommended option to avoid Wadi Musa and to visit Petra in a different way especially if you do not have time to have a bedouin experience in Wadi Rum. Keep in mind that it is a... More

I love this camp! My friends and I stayed here for one night and it was beautiful. The lightings, the food, the campfire, the tea, the staff made for a wonderful experience. Breakfast was the best part; they made fresh zataar bread...just thinking about that makes my mouth water! I would for sure stay here again!

Arriving at The Rock Camp, we were greeted by a Bedouin whose English was quite good. In what I came to learn was their typical soft spoken manner, he showed us to our private tent, pointed to the path to find the bathrooms and showers and explained when dinner would be served. We were invited to join him near the... More

A real experience is to be had here in terms of location, food and accomodation. I was sharing a standard Bedouin tent which was v nice (for camping). Be warned though it is very cold in the evening in February. We were huddled around the camp fire with coats and gloves in the evening and I needed my Winter sleeping... More

Spent two days and one night in the camp, it is my first time camping and i am glad that it was in The rock camp. Everything was very good, the location, the view, services, facilities, and most important the staff, they were so helpful and smiling all the time. The tents were spacious, with beds not mattresses, clean and... More

We visited this camp as a group for an evening meal and entertainment. The good was excellent and in local buffet style. Local music with dancing. The setting was very atmospheric in Bedouin tents. Biggest surprise was good toilets in the middle of the desert! We all had an excellent evening.
