Jane is an amazing host and makes her hotel feel like a community. She freely and patiently shares wonderful Petra advice and helps her patrons to feel welcome. The breakfast is delicious and the view from the balcony alone makes Rocky Mountain Hotel worth a visit. The dinners are very nice and it's worth eating dinner there even if you're... More

The owner, Jane, is fabulous. She gave us lots of priceless advice and pointers before we headed out on our Petra trek, and is great to talk to, and so very helpful. The view is impeccable. The hotel looks EXACTLY like the pictures, and the top floor lounge and balcony are fantastic. And breakfast is delicious, and made more enjoyable... More

Simple, but clean and friendly place. Jane, the New Zealand owner goes out of her way to please you, nice views over town, good food, free tea/coffee. Very nice hotelcat! We had bad luck, while it was only 2 degrees celsius when we were therE (heating in Jordan is not built for this type of weather)

This is a great hotel to explore Petra. The own, Jane, does an incredible job of making guests feel welcome and providing above average service and information. The rooms are fine, the breakfast is more than adequate, and dinner is great (dinner is available at an additional charge). The rooms are quiet and the free wifi is excellent. There are... More

There is not much to this hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms are pretty dated. It's up the hill from the main area so you get a quiet night sleep. Nice balcomy off the back rooms to watch the sunset over Petra. No real complaints at all, average hotel for those looking for something affordable. Breakfast included.

We are a small family run, budget hotel for the budget conscious traveler - we do not claim to be anything other than that. We offer a good traditional breakfast; we have 2 free shuttles down to the Visitors Centre in the morning and 2 back at night; there is free tea and coffee on the rooftop terrace and free... More

I arrived at the hotel with few expectations but the hospitality was great and the hotel surprisingly comfortable. my room was fine, nothing special but I had a balcony overlooking the mountain range that houses Petra and the upstairs restaurant is a wonderful Bedouin surprise. well worth staying here when visiting Petra.

We are a couple from Croatia, we have spent 2 nights in this hotel and it was definitely a good choice. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Petra entrance gate so no need to stay at more expensive hotels closer to the entrance gate. Also, it provides free wifi in the rooms and free tea/coffee at the rooftop terrace.... More

The hotel has an amazing view, from the top floor terrace u can see entire wadi musa. For the breakfast there is not much choice, (eggs, some vegetables, jam and Arabic bread), but you have tea and coffee available free all day. Internet works perfectly. Positioned 5 minutes to Petra with the car, and free parking in front. Credit card... More

Glad that you overall enjoyed your stay with us. Thought I should explain our breakfast for prospective guests. It is traditional for the area and consists of fresh pitta bread; omelette; 2 types of cheese; tomatoes and cucumber; hommous; lebaneh (like a creme fraise); local olive oil and zaatar (a dip made from fresh thyme and roasted sesame seeds); fig,... I really enjoyed my time at RMH. I even added an extra day because it was so comfortable! My friend and I, both single females, enjoyed the local feeling and the hospitality. Our favorite part was the rooftop restaurant -- there is a great view over Wadi Musa and the mountains. Sunset is amazing. You can enjoy shisha there and... More

I was really in doubt about what rating to give this hotel. It is obviously a budget hotel with dated furniture and small bathrooms, you have to pay an extra for turning the AC on, etc. It is also quite far from the Petra's visitors center and the restaurants areas (don't let google maps fool you, the location you found...
