We simply loved our stay at the Rocky Mountain Hotel! The rooms are clean and some of them offer, like the rooftop terrace, a great view over Wadi Musa. What makes this place so special is the very special atmosphere, the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to hang out, drink tea and of course, have dinner - you will... More

This hotel was the only hotel option to stay at through a two-day tour that I booked with Abrahams Youth Hostel in Jerusalem. While most in the group chose to stay at a Bedouin campsite, due to the cold weather I chose to stay at the hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm and the staff immediately showed me... More

Hello - first I must apologize for the fact that my evening staff did not show you how to use the controls for the heater or TV. They are not straight forward and you do need to be shown how they work. Also, the heater is switched on in the lobby (and then you can use the remote control) -... More

We stayed for a couple of nights. Just when we arrived we could see the most amazing sunset from the lovely dining room of the hotel. It's bedouin inspired furniture makes it a magical place to look over wadi musa. Jen the hostess was extremely kind and helpful. Dinner was cheap simple but plenty. We could even pay with a... More

We paid for two nights two rooms but just stayed for one. To be extremely practical, I would like to say that this accommodation is for the low budget traveller so if you like to have good quality bedding and toilet / shower / towel facilities, this is certainly not the place for you. It is covered in carpets, the... More

What can I say........this is a budget hotel (not even a one star) for the intrepid traveler with a back pack.....we provide a lot of services (e.g. free tea and coffee, free shuttles, free internet, a/c and heaters in room, TV's, cheap dinners) for not a lot of money per person. Our advertised rates are tax inclusive, as well. As... More

Spent a wonderful night at this hotel. Clean & quiet rooms with views over Petra. Delicious dinner with a choice of 3 salads, meat, bread & baked veggies for only 8 JD. The views from the upstairs terrace overlooking the valleys and the city of Petra are amazing. Enjoy the beautiful sunset while sipping a nice cuppa. Jane who's running... More

As you make your way to the balcony of the Rocky Mountain hotel, the entire panoramic area of Wadi Musa unfolds before you! During the morning one can see the downtown area and the mountainous terrain of this magnificent city, and during sunset it is ablaze with colour! And then at night time the stars twinkle before your eyes, and... More

This hostel is definitely value for money. The hostel has a Bedouin-style interior, is clean, cosy and has a home-like atmosphere. The common room has a fantastic view of Wadi Musa and Petra, it has been a little treat to have my breakfasts there. The breakfasts themselves consisted of locally sourced foods and were very tasty, on top of this... More

Very clean homely feel. Cosey lovely dining area which has an awesome view of the valley. Little far from petra entrance but it dosnt matter as the view... More

Rocky Mountain Hotel is probably the best place to stay in Petra. It's a great and clean place to stay with very friendly & helpful staff. The breakfast is great as well. The hotel has an awesome chillout area with a great view.

Overlooking Wadi Musa up on a hill, Rocky Mountain may be a bit of a walk to Petra, but we don't regret one minute of our stay. The beautiful terrace is enough to make us come back! Jane and her husband were extremely attentive, kind, helpful and hospitable. On the day we went to Petra, Jane offered to give us... More
