We arrived in the afternoon, nice welcome at the reception....but then the room was not prepared, AC making dodgy sounds, not enough towels, all solved within 15 minutes...Drinks at Cave bar: again nice location BUT..not all wine available, not all fruit juice available..not all kids menu available and in all cases no alternative offered..and kids alternative meal fully charged to... Perfect location, at the entrance to Petra. Quite a long way to get to the room especially after a long day walking at Petra. Room was not properly cleaned on the second day. Decent breakfast spread. Close to many restaurants and shops. Try to get a room closest to the Lobby. For a big chain hotel I was surprised to... More

We booked this hotel because it's right next to the entrance of Petra. We got a great chalet room with a nice view of Wadi Musa. Service was friendly and the facilities were very good. It's a great place to relax after a hot day of hiking around.

Lovely hotel with great rooms spread across the side of the mountain. It's beyond the Tourist Office so literally on top of the gate to Petra. Rooms lovely and big with good views. Doesn't have a pool which we knew about but after a long day walking around Petra would have been nice to have a dip afterwards. Cave bar... More

You do a lot of walking when visiting Petra. Most hotels are a long walk from the entrance and it is worth saving that extra distance when you are tired and have been hiking all day. Having said which there are two adjacent hotels (Crowne Plaza and Moverpick) which are just as close. We had a chalet which was larger... More

I really liked this hotel. It is literally steps away from the entrance to Petra. The rest of Wadi Musa is easily walkable from here. The first thing you notice when pulling up here is the excellent way the architecht designed the motel to fit in with the natural landscape. It is built into the side of the clift and... More

I was given what was referred to as a mountain room overlooking the front of the hotel and the nearby village of Wadi Mousa. It was a large room with plenty for my needs. The porter brought the suitcase quickly and demonstrated all the facilities in the room including the hairdryer, which he comically blew his hair with, the air-conditioning,... More

We stayed 2 nights at Petra Guest House as part of a package tour of Jordan. We had read many negative reviews and did not have high hopes. In fact the guest house is the only accommodation right at the entrance to the ancient city of Petra and we found it an appealing and comfortable place to stay. Our 'chalet'... More

We are regular visitors to Petra and tried Movenpick and Marriott and while both hotels were great, we have had the best overall experience at the Petra Guest House. Everything was wonderful from service to rooms and very accommodating staff and spectacular views from our room. The cave restaurant is amazing and to top it off, the entrance to Petra... More
