We are regular visitors to Petra and stayed at Marriott and Movenpick on previous occasions. We decided on Crowne Plaza Guest house for our recent trip. The guest house was perfect for us staying two nights. The reception and staff were very helpful and friendly. It is also just a few metets away from the entrance gate of Petra! I... More

We stayed for two nights during Ramadan - overall rating was that it was fine and more 3 rather than 4 star. While we had requested a double bed, we ended up with king singles. We noted this to the porter who advised they were booked out so couldn't change our room and suggested we push the beds together. He... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel much better than we expected (I think the word 'Guest house' was to blame). The rooms were huge and clean. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The Cave bar did not serve alcohol because of Ramadan, but had lots of juice and smoothie alternatives. Even after a few hours walking around Petra... More

This guesthouse is a proper hotel. It located right next to the entrance gate of Petra historical site. The hotel has a man building and terraces on the side. The main building with the lift but not the terrace building. My room was on the top at the end of the terrace building and it required many of the steps.... More

My mother and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Petra. The hotel was comfortable with great service, and the location is amazing. The entrance to Petra is right outside the hotel, which is perfect for getting an early start and for your aching feet on the way back. The Cave Bar is a great spot for a nightcap... More

Let me say outright, it wasn't the best hotel we've stayed at. Not even close. HOWEVER, once you've spent all day walking inside the ancient city, the fact that this is right next to the gates makes a big difference. Your legs will thank you for staying here. The building itself is charming in a quaint sort of way, and... More

Stayed two nights at this inexpensive 3 star- hotel 50m away from Petra- entrance- perfect location. Rooms quite big- our´s had a terrace with views over Wadi Musa-, but owner Crown Plaza should start thinking about refurnishment ;-). Breakfast o.k., outdoor a la carte restaurant definitely not recommended (tiny menue, inferior quality), but restaurant terrace on the other hand nice... More

We stayed here just to go to the Cave Bar, which was great, but the best part about it was it's location - right next to the entrance gates to Petra. From the outside, our room looked like a cute little villa set right into the mountain. Inside was spacious and comfortable with tasteful decor and working AC - very... More

We didn't stay a the hotel but ate at the hotel restaurant one night. I would not recommend this place for dinner- the food wasn't very nice, very pricey (due to its location) and staff were extremely inflexible with the menu even though we had dietary requirements- that was a sign of poor service for me.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. This hotel is in fact the closest to Petra entrance but there are other hotels nearby - literally another 60 seconds walk. The rooms were ok and beds comfortable but they all face outwards - like the old style motel - so you have other guests walking right by your room at... More
