Basic, Bedouin, and brilliant. Everything is basic but very clean - everything we were looking for. Better than this the team there were helpfull, nice and more than accomadating. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there for the night, and rather than them overwhelming us, they left us to ourselves but kept in earshot in case we... More

Honestly, my favorite place to stay when in Petra. It is super clean, they have all the needed facilities, you can either bring in your own tent or stay at one of their preset Arab tents (which is what I did). I loved the food because it's home made food. The owners are around especially in the weekends, they are... More

We arrived with plenty of time to explore before dinner. Before you explore, charge what you need to charge cuz once everyone discovers it, you run out of outlets. The charging station is near the dinner tent on the left if you're facing it. There is a little museum there. One of the guys who looks like Jack Sparrow claims... More

Staying at the Ammarin Bedouin Camp was one of the highlights of our trip to Israel and Jordan. After a long day visiting Petra, we were driven to the camp by Desert Eco Tours. My husband, son, and I were the only guests. Two non-English speaking men were waiting for us when we arrived and very politely and sweetly served... More

This place was a wonderful oasis in Jordan! The owners were so incredibly hospitable... I didn't want to leave. My friend and I (both female and in our 20s) were the only guests at the camp at the time and the entire staff as more than attentive. They played us music, talked with us about the surrounding areas, the camp... More

Against the rocks of little Petra, a different style of accommodation. We stayed as part of a larger organized 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum. This was my preference over a hotel in town and was a good compromise w the mother-in-law-to-be regarding: creature comforts (electricity, hot showers, towels) versus rustic, under the stars, in a tent and on... The landscape this bedouin camp is surrounded by is beautiful and remarkable. The People at the camp are very nice and welcoming and food is delicious. Sitting at the fire and hearing about this community project give you the feeling of being travelling back in time, but at the same time of being part of something meaningful in the present... More

I was looking for a place to stay in Petra. I found some and the prices were exorbitant. Then I ran across this gem and am I glad that I booked this. The accommodations are good, more than just basic. The site is actually quite large and can hold some pretty big groups and thankfully was mostly empty when we... More

A fantastic camp, with great service, hospitality and support for our event. We were made very welcome, no language problems, those looking after the camp integrated with us. We booked this camp for our first gathering, which we called Manna Gathering, the first event of this kind bringing individuals together from a number of places around the world as well... More
