I was looking for a place to stay in Petra. I found some and the prices were exorbitant. Then I ran across this gem and am I glad that I booked this. The accommodations are good, more than just basic. The site is actually quite large and can hold some pretty big groups and thankfully was mostly empty when we... More

A fantastic camp, with great service, hospitality and support for our event. We were made very welcome, no language problems, those looking after the camp integrated with us. We booked this camp for our first gathering, which we called Manna Gathering, the first event of this kind bringing individuals together from a number of places around the world as well... More

I visited here through Desert Eco Tours and whilst our host was lovely and the view at night was great, it was otherwise quite average. With the exception of the incredibly hard pillow, it was surprisingly comfortable and I was surprised to see great bathrooms/showers. We had dinner and then chatted with the other tourists and then went to bed.... More

I was traveling alone as a young American woman, and I felt very safe, comfortable, and welcomed at this camp. A family with two young kids also stayed at the camp the same night, and the staff were equally as welcoming and inclusive of the children. Highlights included: storytelling and traditional music around the fire; beautiful location; small museum showcasing... More

Stayed one night here followed by one night at the Rock camp. The food here wasn't as good as The Rock Camp but was good enough considering the location/situation. The was a covered fire with a chimney inside the main tent where you have dinner to help keep us warm (it's cold in the evenings in February). The toilets/showers were... More

We expected more from our stay at Ammarin Bedouin Camp. Instead of having an individual Bedouin tent similar to what we experienced in Qatar, we slept on the ground in a large Bedouin tent that was partitioned into separate sleeping quarters. As a result, you can hear everything within the tent. The toilets and showers were basic and located in... More

My husband and I opted to stay over night at this camp. I have never camped before so I was a little worried. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm bedouin hospitality. We had our individual tent room right across the community dining area. They had camp fire and served traditional bedouin tea which was so good. They have nice,... More

So if you are up for a little bit of rustic charm with modern showers and toilets, This is your place! Yes it is a camp set up for tourists but it is Bedouin style with Bedouin hospitality and food. Friendly, proud of their heritage, lovely food, sweet aromatic tea by the campfire while being entertained with singing and playing... More

I really did enjoy my stay at Ammarin camp in spite of the the many problems ... First of all this is not a real Bedouin camp ... just like all the other camps it's a tourist camp ... but let's say it's roughing it in the dessert Bedouin style ... don't get me wrong you will surely have a... More

We was there for a week, and this week was very special for me. Beautiful nature, full of magic: you can sleep not in tent, but under the sky. Beautiful people, full of hospitality. Great food and coffee :) It is far from civilization, that is why the light is off after 23.00 (camp have an electricity from generator). Closets... More
