Not worth it at half the price. This hotel is under construction and 2/3 is gutted and in piles of rubble. It seemed the building might come down in a strong wind. We booked this because it was the only hotel in Petra that claimed to be able to accomodate a family of 5 in one room, but when we... More

They are currently under construction. Seriously seedy. Towels are grey, carpets stained, and the first 2 floors completely gutted. When they finish whatever renovation's taking place, maybe, but don't do it 'til someone else updates this review - April 2014

The Hidab hotel in the Petra area suited our purposes. It's not luxury but not a dump either. It's not as far from the entrance of Petra as I thought. It's a brisk 2 mile walk from the hotel downhill. College students do that everyday. The bus passes by the hotel so I memorized the way from the bus stop... More

This hotel is a sham, run by rude & incompetent people. Our initials problems were checking in, we were told it was a room with a flat-screen. It was a 20cm TV from the stone-age (not a big deal since you don't go to Petra to watch TV). The same room's shower was broken. The handle that holds the shower... More

When I read the wonderful reviews that have been written on this site about the Hidab Hotel I booked a weeks stay there, confident that I was going to a good three star hotel. What a mistake! I am now convinced that most, if not all of those reviews must have been written by someone with an interest in the... More

This was my second visit to Petra and my second stay at Hidab. They treated me so well the first time that I decided to visit again and stay longer. The price was so reasonable and the staff is wonderful. They were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. They are budget... More

Amazing and very helpful staff, and they have a great customer service. Rooms are very good and clean. Excellent choice for a great value. In general, it's the best option to consider if you are planing to go to Petra. I strongly recommend this hotel. Many thanks for everything to Mohammed and Ibrahim. :)

The room was clean and small but nice. The breakfast was simple but okat and the price for the room was okay. There were a few problems with the toilet and the heather and there was a lot of noice from the street as described by others. And you need to take a taxi every time you want to go... More
