We stayed for two nights at the Cleopetra Hotel in December. The staff were amazing - so kind and helpful. Mosleh served us tea and snacks and did magic tricks for our children. Our rooms, although modest, were very clean. The breakfast was perfect and the price was right. The day we left, we forgot our daughter's favorite stuffed animal... More

If you want a reasonably priced, hospitable place with good food and wonderfully friendly hosts, this is the place for you! It's clean & modern with good showers, which is what you'll need after a day trekking around Petra. Mosleh, the owner, was extremely helpful - offering welcome advice, helping to book tours to Wadi Rum and tracking down my... More

This hotel is in a fairly good location for Petra though it's hilly so you may still want to take a taxi after walking and climbing in Petra all day. The rooms are clean but VERY small and basic but the owners are helpful. Breakfast was disappointing but edible and as others have noted, the hotel is pretty noisy as... More

We were a group of three slovenians, visiting Jordan for 10 days, it was our second visit to Jordan in last years. We've been in Petra for 4 days, and Cleopatra stuff helped us to get our Jordan experience vivid and their hospitality went high above expected! It is quite normal in nowadays that hotels, taxis and other service providers... More

Cleopetra was a good but basic place to stay while visiting Petra. The owner offers free rides to the Petra site in the mornings and a taxi back is just 2JD. Breakfast at the hotel was filling but nothing elaborate. If you plan to sleep in past 6:00 the noise of the locks and keys in the hallway loudly banging... More

We are a couple and stayed in Cleopetra for 2 nights in April 12. I followed the advice from the Rough Guide when choosing this hostel. After 2 nights in Farah in Amman, Cleopetra was a really great surprise! Very clean room, crisp linen that I wasn't afraid to touch, comfy bed, no problems with hot water and noise, although... More

We (couple of 30m & 28f) stayed two nights at the Cleopetra Hotel in April 2012. Location The hotel is conveniently located on the main road of Wadi Musa. There are several restaurants and shops near by. It's also possible to walk to the main entrance of Petra which is approx. 2km away. However, the owner (as most hostels and... More

Our "tour guide" was our 21 year old daughter who speaks Arabic and who has been to Petra 2 times before. She wanted to stay at "Cleopetra" and so we said "Yes". We were not disappointed. Sheryl was helpful and hospitable. And Musleh remembered our daughter from her previous trips and was very kind to us. We were given tea... More

This place is basic, staff friendly and appear to be able to organise almost anything. rooms are smallish, we were there in March and the even turned the heating on, boiling hot radiators! Rooms to the back and higher up, presumably quieter. Felt bit like a back packer hostel, and it all depends who stays there and how 'sociable' are... More
