We visited Manu National Park for 5 days and 4 nights in July 2013 with Manu nature tours. On the first day we left from Cusco, drove dirt roads for 8 hours through the Andes, visited Paucartambo on the way and finished in the evening at the Manu Cloud Forest Lodge. Altough we sometimes wandered if we were doing an... More

This is definitely in Adventure Travel category. It's a two day trip to get to the Lodge from Cuzco. You drive all day on dirt roads to a very nice lodge on river in the rain forest. The next day you spend a couple hours more driving on a worse dirt roads. You arrive at a town on the Madre... More

Manu lodge is managed by Manu Nature Tours in Cuzco: they have it in concession by the Government. I spent a few days (29Aug-03Sep 2012) in a tour organised by Manu Nature Tours and spent 2 nights at the Manu Lodge. The real status of the whole infrastructure of the Manu Lodge is poor; nothing to do with the brochure/internet... More

We visited for 6 days/5 nights in April 2012 leaving from Cusco. The 2 day journey to Manu is an adventure on the tough and narrow roads and fast flowing river. The mountain vistas beautiful and cultural stops on the way.The Cloud Forest Lodge, great design, stayed at on the way in and way out is very special with the roar... More

Wow! It has taken me way too long to get on here and write this but I have to say that our journey to Manu Natioal Park and the Manu Lodge was the best experience of our four month honeymoon around the world. We did a five day trip with our guide William, first one night into the cloud forest,... More

First off I would like to say is that the Amazonian rainforest is not for the faint of heart. My first night at the lodge I was stung twice on the same arm by wasps, and had to wait over night for the swelling in my arm to go down. Going to the bathrooms at night was strange but with... More

* Considering where you are, Manu Lodge is highly recommended. I do not have much more to add to the details in previous reviews as they give an accurate account of what to expect at Manu Lodge. The bathouse was still not fixed Sept 2009. Our guide said the repairs are bogged down by the rules governing the way things... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, having travelled by river most of the first day and it was, undoubtedly, the one day in the holiday that I would not wish to re-live! The boat was open, save for a tarpaulin overhead (no contest for horizontal rain along a river). The list of items the company had told us to bring... More

I took my wife and two boys (10 and 12) to Peru and we went on the 5night/6day Amazon tour with Manu Nature Tours. It was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone who seriously wants to see Amazon wildlife. The Manu Lodge is located within Manu National Park ,a pristine area of rainforest within the Amazon Basin.... More

currently, since there are only two possible lodge locations in the manu reserve area (that i know of)- i chose manu lodge because of reviews in guide books and a somewhat negative review of the other location on tripadvisor.com the positives: the location of ml on an oxbow lake is very good- we saw river otter, caiman, great variety of...
