Villa Roka is a hoax. The website is simply misleading. The hotel is cheap by any mean. The rooms are small, the change the bed sheets once every 3 days, the towels every 4 days, the food is awful (i wouldn't even feed my dog with it!!!), the staff is the worst ever (don't speak a word other than bulgarian,... more

Please, don't be misled by the website... The hotel pretends to be a modern place designed in Japanese minimalist style. In reality, the furniture is just old and plain. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and are not comfortable at all. The 'restaurant' resembles a dark dirty basement with luminiscent lights. The food is more than awful -... more

My spouse and I stayed in Villa Roka in December this year. I would say that we were delighted with the atmoshpere and the quests service. The food was delicious , the staff very kind and smily. We both liked very much the elegance in simplicity within this sophisticated hotel. We would strongly recommended it to any couple or family... more

I started to think this review when I was still there.... We travelled from Thessaloniki by bus, and stayed there for 2 nights, 26 and 27 December 2008. We paid for the bus and the 2 nights (with one meal per day included) 330€ per person!!, which means around 280€ for a double room per night. Having paid this price... more

I travel very regularly to Bansko, and i am in the home builder / hotel industry. I was excited to see Vila Roka, as it was a contemporary hotel that stood out from the usual Bansko style, which i like. There is a clear problem that has repeated on me several times in Bulgaria and Eastern Europe. I walk in,... more

We booked thru Balkan Tours in Belfast and as always we got a very cheap holiday, on half board basis in Mar 2007. The hotel was lovely, some of us had large spacious rooms and others had smaller rooms but they were all nicely decorated, clean and comfy. The hotel is modern and seemed quite new. There is a large... more

(15 min walk). the service in the hotel was average. the... more
