This is a very belated review. My family ( including 2 young adults aged 20 and 22) visited Sri Lanka in January for 3 weeks. We adored Sri Lanka but the highlight was the 2 nights we spent with Kulu Safaris. We were not overly looking forward to sleeping in tents ---- BUT they were so comfy! The meals were... More

This was a great all round safari experience. The food was excellent - some of the best we'd had in Sri Lanka - and the standard was pretty high everywhere. Its a small intimate concern with lots of charm. Pradeep, Prem and the team were so friendly and worked extremely hard to give us a memorable experience. On our 2... More

We recently spent 2 nights with Kulu Safaris, exploring Yala National Park. Pradeep and the team were very attentive and so helpful. The food was lovely - probably the best we had in Sri Lanka. If they wanted to branch out, they could also hold a cooking class, as I would have happily done that. And the luxury tents were... More

My husband and I stayed at Kulu Safaris for 2 nights as part of our 2 week honeymoon and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and professional, the service was great and the food was surprisingly the best we had throughout our entire stay in Sri Lanka. We stayed at one of the 7 or 8... More

We visited Yala national park right at the end of a short holiday to Sri Lanka - far too short, incidentally. Don't try to pack this beautiful country into six days, especially since driving anywhere takes forever. Anyway, I absolutely cannot recommend Kulu Safaris enough. The tents are very comfortable. They feel crazy hot during the day (when you don't... More

As someone who experienced Yala Safaris with several safari companies I can say for certain that this was the best. the facilities are excellent - you will not see many camps in the level of Kulu safaris. the tents are spacious and comfortable. the camp is big with great view to a small pond with water buffaloes and water birds.... We had 2 nights in Yala NP and managed to get a good sighting of a leopard on each of our 4 game drives. The camp was very secluded in the forest's edge overlooking a small lake. Tents are spacious and comfortable and surprisingly easy to sleep in without a/c because it gets "chilly" at night (about 18 degrees!). Chemical... More

Our visit to Kulu has been an absolute highlight of Sri Lanka. We stayed at Kulu Safari for three nights in January 2014. The entire experience was simply amazing: the food was excellent, the accommodation comfortable (very spacious and functional tents), the guides knowledgeable and the hospitality superb. Although we were slightly unlucky with the weather on a couple of game drives the guide and driver took it in their stride, and... More
