We parked at this camp area and backpacked upstream. This facility has bathrooms and several walk in camp areas. The road down is pretty steep and bumpy, but is usable in a car, but would recommend a truck or higher clearance SUV. Pretty scenery and great location.

My boyfriend and I went with another couple and had a blast. We got there early and picked out a great spot that was in the shade. They layout was nice and the other campsites were spread apart so we weren't sleeping right next to each other. My only advice is make sure you really do have a 4WD vehicle.... More

We went on a Tuesday (10/21/14) and there were only a few campers. The bathrooms/showers were locked, so our only option was the composting toilet, which was fine since we were just there for the afternoon. We hiked the Indian Creek trail until we couldn't go any further. It was very pretty. Lots of mosses and lichens. The creek is... More

The moon shining off of the rock face was incredible. Go there under a full moon. Peaceful and quiet, the people were quiet from 10 on. They have a swimming hole to the right of the river access. The road says 4wd needed but I could have driven a camaro down it without scraping. Beautiful well kept campground. The bathroom... More

A little off road about two miles down off the highway, but well worth the time it takes to get there. Beautiful bluff views. Easy access to the river. Well maintained. Very safe feeling area. Nice bathrooms.

We stayed two nights here and had a good time. We were lucky to get there early because by the end of the night the place was completely full. The campsites are really close together so it's the luck of the draw on who you are by. We were surrounded by other families so it made for a nice quiet... More

I took kids ages 4,8, and 16. We did not have a moment of peace due to the park rangers harassing us at EVERY move. The state police harassed us detaining us LOOKING for rule violations. The road to the campground is TREACHEROUS and we will NEVER, EVER return there. Our group spent nearly $1000 for canoes and campsites and... More

This was a nice campground, we arrived wens afternoon, pretty much had our choice of campsites, its a great location if you are gonna canoe, because its a drop off spot, and they shuttle your car back to this campground for you. It also had a nice trail head for those who are gonna hike, you can get to Hemmed... More

We got to Kyle's Landing on Thursday about 4pm and it was basically empty. We had our choice of sites. There was plenty of wood from previous campers we did not need to buy any for our 2 day campout. Driving down to get there was bumpy but we made it fine, those driving in a car may have troubles... More

Tip #1: Get there early (we arrived at 11am) to reserve your campsite. Only 6 people are allowed per site and they check at night to make sure. You reserve your site on the main register and pay $10 per site on a first come first serve basis. Tip #2: Take a 4WD vehicle to get to the site because... More
