We stayed here recently and loved it. Great campground, Facilities were very clean, rangers were friendly. Will definitely be going back. A must visit when in the area, even if you arent camping. The sunsets here are amazing.

We found the lots to be spacious and easy to get in and out of. The bath houses are in excellent condition and well maintained. Each slot in the area we stayed (area A lots 1-40) had a large tent site adjacent. We stayed in lot 19 during a torrential rain and it drained well, but a lot of water... More

Made reservations and when we arrived apparently there had been a mix up and we did not get our site by the boat ramp. We ended up moving further into the park. Not that big of an issue but we were excited to get a spot by boat ramp. It happened to rain very badly fri and part of sat.... More

Really nice swim area and views BUT campsites are too close together, electric is on wrong side on many of the sites. Loop C did have very level pads for RV and good tent pads connected. Bathhouse was clean with good water pressure. Visitor Center is really nice and very informative. We would go again but only if we can... More

We were so excited to snag a last minute site here on Memorial Day Weekend, because our previous plans elsewhere were thwarted by flash flooding in a canyon. We drove 6 hours to camp here. We got to our site and it was really not good. It was site 68 in campsite B. Unless they update it, do NOT reserve... More

We've stayed overnight at this campground twice. It is a very nice campground with private sites. The restroom and showers were very clean even when the campground was filled. The lake is also very nice in a beautiful area.

We stayed in our travel-trailer at Campsite Area A during the last week of October. At that time of year the lake is lower and there is a nice shoreline to walk along, or fish from. Our campsite backed up to a ridge overlooking the lake. There was a trail down to the shoreline. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous from... More

We had a great time camping at Lake Ouachita. The lake was unbelievably clear and we went kayak fishing early in the morning. Our campsite was on a bluff overlooking the lake which was great for cool breezes but we couldn't leave our kayaks beached there overnight and had to go to the marina to load/unload. There were less trees... More

Beautiful, well-maintained State Park. Nice, clean restroom/shower facilities. Lake recreation, swimming, hiking, lounging. RV pads and tent sites are well situated and spacious. One of the nicest we've seen!

My wife and I have camped at Lake Ouachita for the past several years during spring break. We love being on the peninsula. Waterfront access, tent camping only (no RV's nearby to block the view) The pads are spacious (we have the Taj-ma-tent, and it fits just fine with plenty of space to spare). There are giant trees all around.... More
