DelightfulTravlin certainly hit the main points regarding Tanyard Springs; that review was helpful in planning for our trip. We stayed two nights in the Plainsman which is quite secluded at the very end of the Settlement. Overall, with a couple exceptions, we liked Tanyard Springs. Although the cabin is old and amazingly rustic, it's very clean. We played lots of... More

The staff was friendly and helpful. We went the first week in January so there wasn't any foliage but the hiking was still good. You could tell the trails aren't maintained in the winter, oh well, who would? The cabins are awesome! It was neet to go peek in the windows of the unoccupied cabins to see the different themes.... We returned today from a 3 night stay at Tanyard Springs - in the Plainsman Cabin. We absolutely loved it and will go back. The property feels very remote once you are there - yet the cabins are just a skip away from the state park. We are a family of 4 - the Plainsman was great for us. Two... More

The 14 Tanyard Springs cabins sit on top of Petit Jean Mountain and are just barely outside the Petit Jean State Park, so they are a very short drive to everything the park offers. Each cabin at Tanyard Springs has a unique floor plan and location within a gated area called The Settlement (the Tanyard House is the one exception,... More

This place is awesome! Pictures do not do it justice. This is the perfect place to get away from everything! We are a family of seven, so we chose the Homesteader. Perfect choice! It is a short walk to the pond where you can watch the ducks (we didn't have any luck fishing) and the hammocks and porch was just... More

We have stayed at this property many, many times. Mainly, we rent the house with amazing views and space. The house has many rooms to suite a large family. We usually have a group with us and it allows all of us to be together. The house is a little dated and could use some pampering, but the deck with... More

My husband and I just got back from a 3 day stay. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend. There are approximately 13 cabins, each unique. Be prepared to go back in time, because there are no tvs, or microwaves. The whole point is to get "reconnected with nature". Our cell phones barely worked, so we were able to enjoy the... More
