We met friends in this highly recommended pub for dinner on a Friday night. It was packed and the beer was excellent. But the food was disappointing - poor quality steak, dry dauphinoise potatoes and puds that were not tasty. We found the pub to be very cosy thanks to a roaring log fire and comfortable seating and also our room (room 6) which was warm, well appointed with strong shower in the wet room. My wife and I had a most enjoyable stay in this excellent gastro pub. Delicious food and delightful bedroom.The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Our one minor complaint was that on the second night of our stay we were seated next to a sealed up doorway in the restaurant and the draught was quite cold.

We had a very nice few days. The Queens arms is set in a lovely country setting surrounded by beautiful scenery. The pub was everything you would expect, food was excellent both in the restaurant and bar. The staff were friendly and helpful.
