The hotel was good in comparation with others that we stay in Sulawesi Island. The staff was very friendly and eficiente. The restaurant have cold beer, a very difficult drink to find in Sulawesi island.

Friendly service. We were appointed a recently build room, but it was not very clean. Bathroom was spacious, although a bit dirty. The beds were of good quality. The breakfast was fine. Staff can help with planning trips to the nearby lake.

We come very late to the Sengkang, and our driver recommended us Pondok Eka as the best hotel in the city. We stayed there for 2 nights. We got room, that was very large, had TV, fridge, AC. Room was clean, there was only problem with shower. Ehm. We didn't have shower, the water just flow from the tube from... More

We stayed here to break the long drive from Makassar to Rantepao. The hotel is quite austere but might be the best in town. The rooms are clean, the air-conditioning really worked, and the staff was nice. However, we only ate the rice and vegetables at dinner. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We visited the Tempe lake... More

Pondok Eka The rooms do have good AC. On entering the room I killed my first roach that managed to survive the intense bug spray. The food was edible but the environment of a nightmare of a construction site did not enhance the "dinning experience". The place is a dump.If you have the stamina drive straight to Toraja.

We were on a package tour, coming from Mamasa, and this place was totally adequate for our one night stay, we had a large clean room on second floor, with good air-con, a fridge and complimentary water. The shower was very good with hot water, and breakfast was buffet-like and quite decent. Lake Tempe was worth visiting, the floating houses... More

A very basic hotel, rooms clean and probably priced ok. Passable Wifi if you sit on the staircase or near the check-in. Accommodation is very limited in this town, and these people try hard. Breakfast was terrible for our tastes!. (Cold fried eggs in a tomato sauce was the signature dish)

We stayed at Pondok Eka as we were told it was the most decent choice in town. Given that Sengkang is not big and rather poor, we didn't expect much but once we 'experienced' Pondok Eka we still felt like getting out as soon as possible. We encountered some cockroaches during breakfast and there was a blanket which clearly hadn't... More

In our opinion Pondok Eka was a pretty decent place to stay in Sengkang. We where travelling from Bira to Rantepao and needed a place just to spend the night, so we weren't picky for any facilities. We arived at 7PM and left the following morning at 8AM. Upside: The room we were in was on the 2nd floor and... More

I don't believe that people actually can give this hotel a better rating than "terrible". This place really is a nightmare. Lake Tempe itself is beautiful, go there, but find something elsse to stay at. We had a pool with dead cockroaches in it, a room with holes in the ceiling (at a ridiculous prices by the way), the worst... More
