We showed up without booking and the staff were very helpful and organised some amazing tours through the national park and on the ocean. our guide was at the hotel every morning ready to take us where ever we wanted. one of my favourite places to stay and was a very good price for an amazing experiance.

Nice stuff, clean rooms and good ambience. The whole village is nice and relaxing. Easily I received all the informations I needed and they organised a good guide to the reserve. The food (included in the price) was good.

A very quite and peaceful homestay. Just in front of Tangkoko Batuangas Natural Reserve entrance. Alfons is a very nice guy, we could talk a lot with him, to the Indonesian real rural life. He knows all things about Tangkoko Batuangas and its animals. The rooms are very tidy and clean, with fan, a-con, towels and bedclothes. The food is... More

We stayed one night at Mama Roos, which was ideal place to spot a large amount of interesting animals in the Tangkoko National Park. In the evening we went with two guides and were very lucky to spot not only the famous Tarsiers but also a family of Cuscus who were having dinner low in the threes (the guide said... More

Stayed here for three nights, photo documenting the jungle. Alfonso, the manager was really friendly and skillful as a ranger and guide. Please be respectful to the animals and nature and listen to your guide when hiking through the jungle. For 200 000 IDR I got a economic room with a fan, nothing fancy but it includes three delicious meals... More

We stayed for one night to visit Tangkoko NP. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean but basic. There is optional air conditioning and a fan. The only weird thing was that the bathroom did not have a sink, so brushing teeth and washing hands must happen in the shower. What is unbeatable is the package you get... More

Mama Roo's hosted my team of two for four nights. We came out with no reservation and little knowledge of the area. Our mission was to climb trees in order to observe epiphytes in the canopy while taking in the area as much as possible with our limited time. Tangkoko is not Dubai. Mama Roos had our survivability on lockdown.... More

I live in the area, so I have had the opportunity to eat at Mama Roos- the food is great, and they can handle special dietary needs (vegetarian, not spicy, etc). The dining room is lovely, with windows and a nice breeze. The location is perfect for visiting Tangkoko since it is across the street from the park entrance. They... More

I am absolutely satisfied with my stay at Mama Roos. My room was basic but renovated, clean and spacious. Good food. Don't worry about the bad reviews in the past. They have considerably improved. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I had a perfect and knowledgable guide. (Thank you Ateng for the wonderful days.) We are at a remote... More

I stayed here for one night as part of my trip to visit Tangkoko National Park. The location is great just a few minutes from the park entrance and also a short walk to the volcanic sand beach which I loved. The renovated rooms were fully booked so I had one of the more basic ones which was IDR200,000. The... More
