Stayed one night at Mama Roos. The rooms were rather basic. Only cold water. The bed and mosquito net were good. They offered two meals, a hearty dinner (Indonesian food) + a breakfast (tea, toast, jam, butter). The reason we came to Mama Roos were the walks. They were amazing.

I spent just one night in this basic but okay guessthouse. When I arrived from Manado in the early afternoon I was welcomed by Ina. She showed me my room: a pretty large room, a double bed with a very thick (new?) mattras and mosquito-netting (see picture) and a chair. The attached bathroom was basic, with a western toilet and... For only 150.000 rp ( eur 10 ) p.p.p.d inclucing 3 meals, is this a good place to stay. Big rooms nice food and a perfect location, just in front of the NP entrance. The entrancefee for Tangkoko NP is recently dobbeld to 100.000 rp p.d.

After reading all the reviews and negatives I was expecting the worst, but this place wasn't too bad! Very basic but for a night or two its fine. Mozzie nets over the bed, fan, no flush toilet, a lot of ants, no blankets, towels etc. there was a sheet over my mattress and pillow had a pillow case but not... More

This hotel was our third choice the others which looked a lot better were fully booked. The rooms are extremely basic, a holed mosquito net, cold water and no flush for the toilet just a bucket of water. The room did have a fan and electricity. We only stayed one night so could stand this. Just remember you are in... More

You have the minimum required for one night : a shower (no hot water), a bed with a net, but toilets without flush... But you can go to the jungle by feet, Waldo is a helpful man and very good guide (we saw the tarsier!!!). The food is good too. So it's ok for one night to see the Tangkoko... More

I rated the rooms as 'poor' because they are below average but I don't think this gives the full picture. Stay here for the tours, rather than the rooms. Great location by the gates to the nature reserve and the tours they organised for me were excellent. Price includes meals-breakfast was basic (toast with jam) but dinner was good and... More

Normally i would give average for the accomodation, but because we had a good time here as a family and they organised some terrifiic tarsier and the famous celebes macaques. The food was okay, but the breakfast was not so good.. The rooms are very basic but what do you expect in the midle of the sulawesi jungle.

First off, the rooms really need a touch of upgrade. It was very basic and quite dark. On the other hand, the staff was really nice and interesting, and food was great (above average)! We also had a very pleasant evening with the owner and his staff, and this was really a thing to remember. The whole experience greatly outweighed... More

This B&B (named after the deceased mother-and-owner of the property, now run by her son) is just leaning on there name in the LP. The food was bad (not fresh, small portions), and the rooms were very basic with just a thin old stinky mildy mattress and pillow and a dirty ' mandi' . For what you have to pay... More
